New Movie: I.O.U.S.A. (featuring Ron Paul) to hit theaters --Trailer [Video]

is actually featured two times in this video trailer.At 0:45 you hear his voice saying the system is encouraging people not to save..... This movie could help a lot of people open eyes. David Walker probably had a lot to do with this. Like Kudlow also, it seems many economic commentators are now more open to the idea that a complete overhaul (e.g. abolishment) of the Fed would be necessary and not a "reformation" or "restructuring" of the Fed, same with a commodity linked currency.

Even though it is too late it does help us spread our message.

Use whatever catchy slogan you can think of. We can use this movie to our advantage. A lot of people who have not woken up in a mental sense but have woken up in a pocketbook sense will be going to see this movie. We can take these people to the next level.

...doing a fair amount of research (links posted below) I am very optimistic that this film does not have an evil purpose behind it. I still have a little skepticism but I'm overall predicting this movie will actually help the cause of liberty.

What I found out was that the movie was the written by two guys at Agora Financial and they bumped into David Walker accidentally one day and told them of their idea to do this movie and he agreed to let them tag along and film his Fiscal Wake Up Call tour around America which is a large part of the movie.

Below is the link to Lew Rockwell's review of a book called, "Empire of Debt", written by Addison Wiggin and Bill Bonner. Addison Wiggin is with Agora Financial and is a co-writer of the script and Executive producer of the movie.

Lew is very favorably impressed with the book. The book goes into the role of the Fed as part of the cause of the financial crisis. So, I'm hoping that the movie goes into talking about the Fed, too, but I doubt that it will. As long as the movie gets a lot of truth out there it should bring the awareness of the American people up on the fact that we have a major financial problem.

After reviewing all of the data contained in the links above, I'm figuring that this film is an amplified summary and simplified version of David Walker's Fiscal Wake Up Call tour and that the only solution being offered in the film is to encourage the American voters to elect a president that will cut government spending and how ready are we for that!!

But, even though the book, "Empire of Debt" co-authored by Addison Wiggin goes into how the Fed works and its role in causing the financial crisis, the film may or may not go into that. We don't have enough data yet to determine this. I guessing that it does not.

It would be great if someone could see the film and give us a report on it and let us know if it goes into the Fed and if there is any solution offered beyond electing a fiscally responsible president. I'm betting this is the only solution it offers. That works for me!!!

This of course doesn't rule out the CFR boys using it as the first part of a larger agenda, but we can use it for our agenda, too, and do a better job of it than they do. However, Addison Wiggins makes the point in one of the radio interviews that in this global economy most of the countries have a lot invested in dollar denominated assets so they all have a vested interest in the dollar not collapsing. This makes me think that at least part of the reason Peter G. Peterson wants to pump a billion dollars into getting this movie aired in America is because he hopes it will save his own fortune from "collapsing".

We'll see.

If I am reading Peterson's bio right he was the former head of the CFR. I wonder if the motivation is pure. We will have to see.

Tenacious accountability can bring real change. If we don't hold them accountable, the politicians will slip away, falsely claiming they were fighting to correct the GFI (Generational Fiscal Imbalance) all along.

I propose we build a very simple list right away. On one side, all of the officials who were on record on July 4, 2008, as "frequently and emphatically urging massive govt spending reductions to address the GFI" and on the other side, all those who were not.

The responsible and courageous side includes Ron Paul, David Walker and very few others (McCain's fiscal responsibility rests solely on his so-called crusade against earmarks, which are paltry in sum and totally unrelated to the coming entitlement disaster; in fact any pro-war, pro-Medicare bill Republican cannot claim to be on the right side of this issue), and on the other, all the congressman, governors, executive branch officials who are not on record.

July 4, 2008 is exactly 4 months before the election. If you were not on record then, you are part of the problem, plain and simple, and that will be used against you when you are next on the ballot.

IOUSA, Walker, Perot as of this week... this story is building. We cannot let the people whose job it is to safeguard the country's future get away with jumping on the bandwagon when it rolls by.

I heard David Walker will be in it too. He is the former Comptroller General and head of the Government Accountability Office (the man that said we were going to fall like Rome shortly before he quit).

The Ron Paul Movement / The Campaign for Liberty should capitalize on the opening of this film. Maybe cities host "Premiere Parties" at their local theatres and take the opportunity to pass out literature and recruit new activists.

It doesn't matter who made it. If it has accurate information we can use it.. We'll have to see the whole thing first. My guess is if it is a ploy it will be to try and deflect blame so people don't start hanging these bastards from lamp poles.

They act like they are warning the public so they couldn't possibly be the culprits. If that is the case we can still use it then have our own little information campaign to explain they are the culprits, then start keeping an eye on lamp posts to see what turns up.

also, I guess I should say, I doubt this could be a part of any plot/conspiracy to spread fear over the issue to the public.... regardless of who made it.... if it is part of a plot, then it's a pretty crappy plot, because for one thing, more than likely, no one will go to see it. Secondly, it's too risky, to use something like this and the reaction to it to cause something else for a greater plot... it's just not a reliable plan.
