Now it's time to say goodbye

...To all my company (on DP)...

Offline concerns are demanding more of my time and attention. Depending on how these issues go, I'll be back sooner or later; there's also the slight chance I may not get to be back. Right now, things in my world are somewhat...unpredictable.

So just in case, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank and acknowledge my fellow DPers. You have educated, inspired and encouraged me; you have caused me to think, and think a second time; you have challenged me, sharpened me, and honed me. I have struggled with you, cried with you, and at times, laughed myself silly with you.

It will feel very odd indeed to start my day without grabbing a cuppa joe and going directly to DP. I remember the withdrawals I felt when the site was down for just a few days...

For well over a year now, the Daily Paul has been my daily dose, and for that I am deeply grateful to Michael Nystrom (neé manystrom), who created this place for us to convene and share with one another. Thank you, Michael, for allowing us into your home. You are a most gracious host.

Do not think I am stepping away from our cause; indeed, I am stepping further into it. Hopefully from time to time, I'll be able to chime in here, but if not, I'll at least try to lurk as possible.

I'll optimistically predict: See ya real soon!
Why? ...because I LIKE you!

Keep fighting the good fight. Never. Give. Up.

I enjoyed your posts. I understand what you must do, and what we all must do to prepare for the future. I hope that this site remains a viable tool for information as the SHTF. We all depend on this site for the real news and real views, so we can sort out the truth and form our own conclusions. I will miss you Walt. Take care.

If you really have to leave hopefully your return will be sooner not later and never say never. I hope whatever your situation is everything works our well. The same to the the rest of you. We need this website. Things are just now going to get really interesting I think. Obviously, it is easy to get overwhelmed with everything going on and things to take care of. There has to be a balance.

I feel ya, for me too life is unpredictable. I take everyday one at a time and if for some reason I'm detached from myDP it will be because of some outside unpredictiality.

But to quit DP cold turkey! You'll never make it. I totally understand if you need to focus your attention on other parts of your forgotten life, but cold turkey?! That's a little rash no?

We all need a chill out

from time to time. We shouldn't forget the daily fight for liberty is a real world fight, and the Internet just a tool.

Another point is: places like the DP tend to be hothouses and many of the wonderful plants we are growing here will not stay the rough climate of the real world (I just remember the wonderful idea of a London March on the 12th of July and I'm afraid the Anti-Obama manifestation in Berlin next thursday will likely take not off too in the real world). That's not an argument against hothouses: we shouldn't forget the plant "delegate process" does grow surprisingly well and may be a reason for a big surprise in September. And I guess many of us like me really need from time to time a place where to feel the enthusiasm of other like-minded people.

So I will very much miss the enthusiasm, wit and knowledge of the three DP'ers that now announce the reduction of their presence here. But having said this, I guess they need to sort things out in their offline live.

Its sad how you all decide to leave on the same day. You have been an inspiration in this forum and your work to get the dvds4delegates project running will be written in the DP's history and maybe even in Political History if our last shot works and Ron Paul gets the nomination. I will certainly miss you fellow Conservative. I may be leaving soon too since Im going to get real busy. I wish you all the best and hope you will find peace D4L. True Peace.

This one is especially for you! You are a fighter girl and your positive spirit shines through loud and clear! lol! Too loud ( lol! ) apparently, for some...but on this team there are some that will claw and fight for every inch because it makes the difference between winning and losing! You are one of those that emits such positive energy and determination I know you will be missed. Sometimes we all need a break for what ever reasons. Please feel free to email me anytime and I will you! I am also going to log off and just keep an eye on news and projects ( become a "silent guest") for a while! I have a trip to the mountains this week and need to sit on a rock by a stream!

I posted my first comment last night since Michael sent me a warning about banning me from this site regarding all the dvd mess. I made a sincere apology for any abuse of this site that may have resulted from it and was really afraid he would not let me stay and promised that I would not post anymore threads regarding the dvds. I am happy to say he has no hard feelings regarding the issue and has graciously allowed me to stay. Thank you Michael.
I will stay and try to keep from posting unnecessary threads and respect the rules of this site. This will be my way of scaling back, I will still talk to you all and visit, but it will just be on a smaller scale than what has occured over the past few days. I am not 'gone' gone, just standing off to the side a bit.

you an email about all this! It is not your fault that everyone jumped in on the project and Michael told me he was fine with the enthusiasm about it. He knows we did not intend for it to get so out of hand. I am not looking for trouble -- though it seems to follow me on this site -- and I know you aren't either and I am not blaming you for my pickle.
As for Jdayh, I know he means well and have contacted him about what transpired here last night but have yet to hear back.
