Barr vs Baldwin on Meetup
Bob Barr is nearing 5000 Meetup members already, and is in 106 cities.
Chuck Baldwin has about 730 Meetup members and 30 groups, only 3 more than he had a month ago.

Of Course, Ron Paul had over 100,000 Meetup members during his campaign.

Great!
I hope he enjoys having them.
I'll be voting for RP, and if that isn't possible, then Chuck Baldwin.
We Need to have the biggest bang!
Unfortunately, even if Baldwin gets 200,000 votes, that will not influence the GOP to change it's ways like the several million that Barr could get....You have to think strategically, they are both champions of liberty..not perfect like RP,but close...RP write-ins will most likely not be counted and could be thrown away...no influence on GOP....
Ron Paul'08
I think one of our main goals
Fortune Favors the Bold
should be to bring the people in the meetups back into the long term effort by getting them to join the CFL and by re-starting meetups. Even if there are no candidates in your area, and the meetup is only a monthly social club, it's good to keep those contacts in place.
Fortune Favors the Bold
Just a reminder.
I intend to write in Ron Paul. But for people who can not write in their votes, we need another option besides Obama and McCain. We need to get Chuck Baldwin on the ballot. I am currently collecting signatures on a petition to do just that.
More info on how to do that here......

Good Luck with that
Bob Barr will be on 49 state ballots for sure, and is taking Oklahoma to court because of their idiotic anti-choice ballot access laws.
Beautiful new Chuck Baldwin ad.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhmbzE1TR0s
I like that ad
Not questioning Baldwin's platform, just the fact that he is not going to be taken seriously by the Main Stream Media because he has no experience or background in politics. Basically he is a Pastor and Talk Show Host, and I want the message to get out and he is not doing that.
Nice ad, but he has no money to run it - thats too bad.
Is the fact that
The main stream media is taking Barr seriously not odd to you.
Hell they blacked Paul out.. Now we should all jump on Barrs side cause the MSM is covering a third party candidate for the first time since Perot.
I'll be NOTA or write in.

oruval I Could not Agree more
I am very suspicious that the MSM likes Barr so much. Lets get an email campaign to get Baldwin some TV time. Also, I heard Rick Warren from Saddleback church (AZ?) is interviewing both Obama and McCain let's ask him to include a Baptist preacher. (Baldwin) Give those evangelical Christians a real choice.
I would guess that we would have Ron Paul's blessing if we promote a Constitutionalist like Chuck Baldwin. Someone also mentioned that Chuck would back down if RP somehow got the nomination. We can't lose by backing Chuck Baldwin.
Money is tight, but I feel I must give to his campaign. Thanks to the person for sharing Chuck's video.
How old are you
That is not new, the media will give whoever they want attention to sway voters.
When Reagan ran, they gave alot of attention to John Anderson so that Reagan would lose - didn't work.
Giving Barr attention has a simple explanation at its called Obama. They want to make sure Barr takes away votes from McCain so Obama wins.
There is no conspiracy here. What would they talk about if they gave time to Baldwin, his preaching? No, with Barr they have the fact that he started impeachment hearings on Clinton, that he was a former hard core conservtive Republican Congressman. that he was appointed by Reagan, that his campaign manger got Perot 20 percent of the vote.
There is absolutely no reason for them to get Chuck Baldwin on
aire.
Non-Politicians
may be a nice change. The last thing Chuck Baldwin will talk about is his preaching....the man knows the Constitution that is why the MSM won't give him the time of day. He also has the age, looks, conviction, and speaking skills to be an excellent candidate. He also comes across as the all American boy next door whom you can trust. He speaks our language. Tough love. That is a threatening combination.
Not all of them are professional politicians..Ronald Reagan, Sonny Bono, Jessie Ventura, etc. In the old days it was farmers, lawyers, and merchants. People who felt blessed by this country and wanted to give back by being a public servant for one or two terms. Not like today, a bunch of rich, spoiled, power grabbing, Professional Politicians hanging around for the retirement benefits. Nothing scarier in my book.
Ron Paul was not a lawyer/ politician he was a Doctor first. Real world people. Not the rich DC elite in their ivory castles. Since when did a public servant in the USA begin thinking they were royalty? They should be ashamed of themselves. Like Ron Paul, I believe Chuck Baldwin is a humble man who will give of himself to get our country back. We need to help him do it. By helping him we are helping RP and the CFL.
They also want a story
Fortune Favors the Bold
and the election has ceased to be interesting from their perspective. (It is abundantly clear that Obama is going to win)

If you sell your soul to the NWO...
If you sell your soul to the NWO you too can be carried by the media as a smoke screen against true liberty and freedom. He is the Huckabee of the day, sent to be a distraction. I'm not fooled.

Shishio - hmmmm
Shishio - hmmmm thats funny because Barr has always been known as the second most Libertarian member of Congress next to Ron Paul.
Its kind of wierd that you know more than Ron Paul, because Ron Paul said Bob Barr would make a "VERY GOOD PRESIDENT" and that "I want Bob Barr to be in the debates", and I want the Barr campaign to do better than mine."
But you know more than Ron Paul - right?
When did he say I want the Barr campaign
to be better than mine? Oh and remember the CNN interview where he stumped for Baldwin when asked if he'd endorse Barr. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY Baldwin introduced him at the march. I'm sorry where was Barr again?

to Tog, Baldwin is a disaster candidate
Baldwin hasn't been on the Main Stream Media at all, he is not getting
out the message - sorry but thats a fact.
As far as Ron Paul having more meetup members than Barr - thats without a doubt. However, Barr is going to reach the 5000 meetup member point faster than Ron did. Bob Barr has been campaigning for less than 60 days
You say: Barr has reached 5000 faster than Ron Paul
As if Barr is a better choice than Ron Paul
but you forget to mention that Barr is just running on Ron Paul's base. Hes also being propped by Rupert Murdoch's Fox News everyday where they give him free airtime
One more thing Hitlery had barely any meetup groups
dosent mean squat

Yup, and Barr's burning up
Yup, and Barr's burning up the asphalt with that 2% Harris poll.
I think when it's said and done, Baldwin will surprise a lot of people.

The Harris multimedia poll is a joke
That online poll is totally a fraud, while I think all polls are useless, I will go with the poll that earlier is now showing Barr at 6%. Not to mention, an another earlier poll showing Barr at 7%.
I predict Baldwin will do worse than the last CP Presidential Candidate.
What and those call in polls
that the TV used to marginalize Ron Paul.. They were right?

Not over yet -
Lets see, I think Barr has been on alot more than Fox, try MSNBC, FOX, NBC, CBS, CNN, CNBC and lot more. Yep they are propping him up, only to take away votes from McCain for Obama -
Thats true, many many Ron Paul supporters are jumping on the Bob Barr Bandwagon and helping his numbers, but they could have just as easily joined Chuck Baldwin, that has yet to raise over $50,000 and is basically for all purposes has had no support.
Also Barr raised more money in 2 months than Ron Paul raised his first quarter. Ron Paul momentum did not take hold until about the beginning of the 3rd quarter. But this is good for Barr, he is already doing well in the polls and is getting attention.
PS Tog if Barr is not on the Radar,
PS Tog if Barr is not on the Radar, then Baldwin's 700 meetup members are not even in the air.
Seems like
they have the same amount of Myspace friends.

Myspace is free, Meetup is not
They need to put up their money if they really believe.
Uhh. Dip shit.
Meetup is free. I haven't paid a cent yet and have been a supporter since last year and use the site regularly.. Nice attempt to confuse and all. DIvide that 5000 into groups of people. 19 bucks for an administrator. Sorry not all those people are paying.

Where have you been Oruval? Meetups cost money
and why do you have to name call and be rude.
Meetup costs the organizer 20 bucks per month, its not free. So you need to dig for the correct info before you start spatting out false info.
Here ya go
