Fellowship of the White Rose - International Fellowship for Freedom

Thank you all for the great input for this thread. It's wonderful that people on the DP are aware of three facts:

1.) Though we are all here to support Dr.Paul in his efforts to restore the Constitution of the united States (since this struggle is of importance for us all), the struggle for personal freedom transcends national boundaries.

2.) All nations have a (sometimes hidden) history and more or less strong tradition of resistance against oppression and struggle for personal freedom.

3.) This struggle is not only a political but also a cultural one.

May sound a bit dry, but basically it does mean we may not only gain a lot of strength but also a lot of fun by listening to and supporting one another.

Having said this, I think it's worthwile to pursue the idea further. You all know, I very much like the DP, but for various reasons it's far from being an ideal place to work on this idea further. It's a pitty I don't have the time and not yet the skills to open a platform on its own.

It's really deep in the night here in Europe and I should definetly be fast asleep. But I think something significant is now up and it would be a disgrace to let it pass.
When I was just about to log out, jshowell came up with this thread http://www.dailypaul.com/node/55724 and I realized, that the Daily Paul sometimes is a great place of congeniality. jshowell really has to get the prize for the idea and the stencil, but I guess the idea wouldn't have appeared for him the way it did without Brit4RonPaul starting a thread on founding libertarian parties in Europe some weeks ago and Fabio's initiative for the 12th of July event in Munich and his citation of the brave "White Rose"-group http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Rose.
There are real great and very individualistic people around here, each endowed with her/his own distinctive amount of stubborness, wisdom, imagination and "crazyness" (I won't mention names) and I am glad I have got closer (online) contact with some of you now. Beside all the great American guys and girls here there are a bunch of people from various countries. And I guess the idea to brace this "global community" with a distinct "brace" like the "Campaign for Liberty" lies in the air for some weeks.
I personally didn't join the "Campaign for Liberty" since I think, it's a specifically US-American project and it would water down the iconcept if its membership is internationalized. You may object, since I know many "Internationals" did join, but I think it neither does help the Americans nor the "Aliens".
Maria Slodowska and I still work on a European C4L-like platform. Though I am of the opinion the continental/regional, national and the local levels of the Liberty movement should be developed this way, the concept jhoswell and I were after (seperatly) is really an international one. While jhoswell "international party" provides for cultural event (and I too think it is important to have something local in the real world) my idea is that of a permanent cooperation, providing on a later stage not only for an internet platform but for exchange programms and perhabs some worldwide infrastructure. The "White Rose" is a powerful symbol and it can cover both ideas : the International Parties and something I always thought of as the (International) Fellowship for Freedom . "Fellowship of the White Rose" is a great name for it.

Perhabs this is just late-night raving, but I would find it great, if you like to discuss these ideas
