Homage to Peter Schiff's Dad - Freedom Fighter

I came across this mention of Irwin Schiff today in an International Herald Tribune opinion piece:

I think that most people in the Ron Paul movement don't know much about this man, or the history of his battles with the Feds. So, in tribute to you Irwin, this thread is dedicated to you in hopes of spreading your story, and better educating our movement.

On a personal note, Irwin's book, the Federal Mafia, was the catalyst for me to begin studying freedom and the philosophies of the Ron Paul movement. That was back in 2001. An interesting tidbit for those of you that think we live in a free county - the book was banned by the federal courts. That's right, books can be banned in this country; so much for freedom of speech.

The most interesting mention in the Wikipedia article is his testimony before the Senate in opposition to removing the dollar from the gold standard.
