The comment was in response to the Rally for the Republic's move to the Target Center.
Minnesota Republican Party Chairman Ron Carey said, "The real action is going to be at the Xcel Center where one of the people who does have a chance to be president is going to be speaking and rallying the troops. When people come to St. Paul in September, they're not going to be focused on Ron Paul."

Let me see if I getthis right ... Ron Paul filled the War Memorial Auditorium in Nashville in September of last year with 1,500 people on the fly with no media promotions. McCain comes to Nashville after winning the nomination, has the top two talk stations in town promoting the event for two days beforehand, and he can't half fill the Ryman.

This is the same Ron Carey who invited Karl Rove to be the guest speaker at the MN state convention but wouldn't allow Ron Paul entrance from the lobby. McCain Red Hats held up big yes/no signs at this convention so McCain supporters would know how they should vote. It was sort of like beach ball exercizes at the nursing home.
