What would happen to you if police caught you on video fraudulently voting? Would cops quickly arrest you and throw you in jail, only to have a District Attorney immediately charge you with fraud?

What would happen to elected government officials if they were caught doing the same? Absolutely nothing? That's right! Watch this and see the real criminals of this nation at work!

These videos have been broadcast for many years. I don't like

the idea that an elected legislator would turn over his or her voting responsibility to someone else, regardless of how trustworthy that "someone else" might be. It's been happening for years. I've seen a number of videos, from the Texas legislature, where one person is running around physically casting votes for other (absent) legislators; absent in the sense that they're off doing something else. TV stations broadcast them from time to time, but the practice continues. It might be interesting if some DP Texan could get such a job. :)

What a joke

This report is so misleading and creates an issue where one doesn't exist. If you worked with people all day long and a few times a day you had to go to another room and push a button, what would be the harm in saying, "hey Bob, I've got a meeting, can you push the button for me today?" That's all it is.
Sometimes I think people envision legislators sitting at that little chamber desk all day, writing bills and carefully pondering votes at the moment they are up for vote. Nothing could be further from the truth. Votes are already decided and counted by the time something actually goes to the floor. Who pushes the button is meaningless.

Quit joking yourself.

If a representative doesn't vote themselves, then all accountability is lost. Anyone can truthfully claim that their vote was mistakenly recorded, or that they didn't vote for something at all.

Why don't I vote for the 80 million people who didn't in 2008?

I promise you they were busy doing something else and they told me I could vote for them.

Ron Paul's Convention Speech

It is a harmless convention

If you were a Texas Legislator you would do the same thing. Because of the committee system they know their votes before it comes up on the floor. They have their colleagues vote proxy for them because they are on the other side of the room or briefly off the floor.

Their colleagues vote their wishes otherwise they recall the vote because of "a technical malfunction" and change their vote.

OH,

so they have proxy. Is that why they are all diving so quickly to try to beat someone to the buttons??? What? They forget, momentarily, who they are suppose to vote for? Hmmm?

I know, that statement hit

I know, that statement hit me in the face too!

The very representative that is trying to pass stricter voting policies, and that claims "It's all about integrity," is then shown less than a minute later spinning around in her chair and placing votes for other people that are not there!

Me, too...

...and
I don't want to hear any frikkin excuses as to why "they" need to do this...

I remember viewing this last year...I had the same reaction then...

I've heard it said:

Though politics may not be called the oldest profession in the world, the end result is still the same.

Anyone wondering which end of that we're on?

I want to know

why there would be a mandate for the hpv vaccine? That's nuts.

It failed miserably.

Rumor had it that the Goveronr that was pushing the mandate was "good friends" with some of the people that were gonna make LOTS of money off of that vaccine.

Most of us were absolutely outraged. Then again, that's our same governor that has been trying to push the Trans-Texas Corridor (NAFTA Superhighway) through our homes and farms.

I think probably 90% of the

I think probably 90% of the laws they are passing with thier fraudulent votes are nuts.

That's why we have hundreds of thousands of pages of law and a government agency to impose and supervise each branch...

It's Insane

Lawmakers are so used to fraudulently voting, that they do it every day, in plain sight, as if it's standard procedure, while at the same time passing more laws to punish the people for attempting to do the same thing.

If this is not government out of control, what is?

There are 27,000 pages of federal laws alone, any of which the people could be charged with breaking, watch the video and see how lawmakers create all these laws and get them passed, all in a day's 'work'.

The legislature looks like a bunch of people playing multiple slot machines at Las Vegas - gambling for laws that will criminalize society.

Trust me, watch this video.

Trust me, watch this video. It's only a few minutes long from some news station. You will see state legislators voting for other legislators, literally pushing the voting machine buttons for them. Some legislators place 4 votes, including 1 for themselves.

This is ILLEGAL!

Some legislator says it's because there is not enough time for them to eat, use the restroom, etc, etc, etc.

Uh, so I guess it would be fine for the rest of us to vote for our friends and family who were too busy to show up on election day to place the vote themselves?

This is so not right.

No one is safe while congress is in session

Introduce a new concept: recess for bathroom breaks.

The less time they spend voting, the better.
