$8 Million is a good estimate of Nov 5th
Submitted by rickfriedrich on Sun, 11/04/2007 - 12:26I figure that we should probably see $8,000,000 come in tomorrow. Here is the reasoning. We have almost 20,000 saying they will give $100. That is $2 million. As the day has approached people will be far less likely to bother to submit their email. I would estimate that at least half the people would not wish to give their email either. I estimate that the average donation will be at least $200 each. The email list was for those giviving $100 or more. There are also many who will give less than that. So if there are 40,000 people giving $200 on average, then that would give us $8 million.
I think there will be many people watching throughout the day and will give more as the numbers go up. People will want to see the day reach $10 mill and will give more until they see that.

Nobody ever offically said 12pm eastern standard time was the end of the money bomb - I mean election days are longer than 24 hours because all the polls close at 7pm - seems to me SINCE MONEY IS STILL FLOWING IN that west coast people are donating by Pacific coast time and its still one hour and 24 minutes away....
If alot of people are holding off to bomb away at the last minute, then the day is not still techinically over yet - is it?

Well I was half right! NOW RUN WITH NOV 5th TO THE PEOPLE!
I was right about the number of people contributing being around 40,000. Only wrong about the average donation. If it had been $200 each then we would have got $8,000,000. I guess it was all about making $100 donations. If this had been a year ago we all could have given more, but the hard times make it difficult.
Well shame on those casting so much doubt. Next round lets have a lot more faith.
Now all this should really excellerate things. Remember to now go out there and tell everyone about this. Make some CDs of Ron Paul: A New Hope and hand them out door to door, in parking lots, in the schools, etc. This was the shock, now we have to do the leg work. This is a perfect talking point. Take advantage of it while it is still fresh. This could get the whole country talking about it. Let the headlines read: "Americans voted with the money for Ron Paul." Now the MSM will take us far more seriously. They just love money and love those who can make it simplisitically. Now comes the next stage from: Ignore him; to ridicule him; to now accept him and put your arms around him; and after a little more work: He is a hero and give him a day for the calender--Let's make it Nov. 5th, The day Americans turned back to their foundations because of Ron Paul.

Yes that is for total this quarter, but I think we can make it tonight to at least that point. So I would be off a few million in my 'estimate'. Let's see what we can do folks.

240K have visited the Nov5th site. If only 5% of these contribute, without pledging, this is another $1.2M.
Now of these, an unknown percentage will contribute more than $100; this represents another $.5M.
Another group will contribute - but less than $100. This represents another $.3M.
I don't think it at all overboard to think we will raise $3.8M tomorrow.
My guess is $4,000,001.
But I hope I'm wrong - big time. To realistically fund the January primaries, not to mention super Tuesday, Paul needs $20,000,000. we're going to need to do this again very early in December. The 7th would be 4 days before the rumored NH primary, but Monday the 4th may be better..

Folks, let's be reasonable...
Anything over $1,000,000 is great, and really, it won't be much more than that, I doubt it will get that high. 10,000 people giving $100 is quite a magnificent fundraiser....and very unlikely to happen within 24 hours.
This talk of 3 million, 5 million or 8 - 10 million is absurd, and will not happen.
I estimate that the campaign will see $645,000 on November 5. Which is what Huckabee will do the whole month.
Great idea though. I think young people can relate to V for Vendetta and its message to oppose tyranny. If people can give money to Dr. Paul's campaign as the current day alternative to blowing up the government buildings, then its a good campaign.

Please post your comments and suggestions there and let this topic get buried. I don't care what the results are tomorrow, I was just making an estimate. Whatever the response is will bring much attention. But people need to know that going out to talk with people for $100 worth of their time is far more important that $100 donation. The only way Dr. Paul is going to win is if we get out there and let everyone know what he stands for and has stood for. Nov 5th gets the media's attention in a good way, but when everyone spends the same efforts to tell everyone in their reach the facts then we will have a much greater response....

Only 475,000 households in New Hampshire
I'd like to see the campaign get behind sending a DVD to all independents and republicans in New Hampshire. Not just a pamphlet which people throw away.
According to the US Census, there are only 475,000 total households in New Hampshire.
It doesn't take a whole lot of money to mass mail DVD's to the proportion which are independent and republican.
Ron Paul must uptick in the polling of this state to have a chance to win.

The Ron Paul campaign has the money and organization to reach every household in NH multiple times, via direct mail, phone calls, and door-to-door canvassing.
This is in addition to TV ads. You can't win an election without TV ads. And the TV ads will make all the yard signs more important, because signs don't vote.
