Florida has a Winner!

Get to know Sarah, you're gonna Lovett! She was one of our "assistant organizers" and worked tirelessly in the campaign, calling everyone in her precinct, educating anyone who would listen on the principals of limited government and liberty. She joined the REC and worked the local Republican Clubs to get the word out. Many of us ran for delegates to the NRC but at our caucus we had no voice. In Florida the delegates are chosen by a quorum of entrenched party leaders who sit around a table in the front of the room, listen to our 2 minute speeches, then cast a secret ballot to elect their choice of delegates, even selecting party leaders who were not present at the caucus.
We could only sit and watch, hopelessly, except for Sarah, she called a point of order and gaining the floor fought desperately to uphold the rule of law. Sarah was aware that there was no quorum, only 9 party leaders of the 27 required to attend were present. The Party Bosses lamented the fact that the party has lost its enthusiasm and regretted that so many had chosen to not attend the caucus, but, until we can elect better leaders, it is their private party and their right to elect any delegates they chose.
So, what happened to Sarah? As the campaign wound down, Sarah only got more wound up. She spent her time running to our capital to fight tax increases and to speak up for the people of our state. She picked up her slogan "It's about the people, not the Party. Sarah flew over the roadblocks thrown in front of her and got on the November ballot to run for State House of Representatives!
