Euro Pacific Capital

Thanks for the responses to my previous question concerning investing with Euro Pacific. Has anyone actually invested with this brokerage? A lot of people are telling me not to bet against the US dollar and our resiliant economy. I'm thinking of investing well into six figures with them, but i'm somewhat nervous because of the comments i've gotten about the US bouncing back and outproforming foriegn markets. I've actually heard no negatives concerning Euro Pacific. If I could get a little more feedback, I would really appreciate it.

Watch these two 10 minute

Watch these two 10 minute video interviews of David Walker from not long before he resigned as comptroller general of the US:

It's nothing to do with investing but rather the state of the nation from a financial perspective. David Walker, by the way, was the top head accountant of the US government. He knows the numbers.

In a nutshell, David Walker said that the U.S. is in a HUGE financial mess and that our political representatives were doing nothing about it.

Peter Schiff, CEO of EuroPacific Capital, appears to understand these things way better than most others.

Europac Client

I am a client with Peter Schiff's firm. I own stock and trust from a water company in Singapore. Singapore has a trade deficit with the United States, but still has an account surplus. So when the crash happens, I don't think their currency will be damaged much. I'm a pretty recent client and joined about a month ago. I HIGHLY recommend them. You don't even need much. I've only invested $4200. I also recommend you read Jim Roger's books. They too are great in what you should know. Surprisingly, I found out that the water company Jim recommended to look at and judge for yourself was in his latest book "A Bull In China." The places I personally would stay away from are Canada, Australia, and Europe. Europac recommends to diversify into them as well Asia, but because I have so little I'm sticking with the biggest bull market: Asia. So yeah, give them a shot. You said you had SIX figures to invest, you should be set for life with them.

The company I went into is called Hyflux. According to Jim, one of China's biggest problems will be water. Their water is dirty as hell and I plan to make a lot of profit when the wheels of them cleaning their water start to roll. Go to the index in A Bull In China and look for water or water treatment. I hope this helps. Remember, Peter Schiff was Ron Paul's official economic advisor and Peter still plugs in Ron Paul from time to time on his radio show. You can even ask him questions.

I read or watched somewhere

I read or watched somewhere recently about China being in the process of constructing 20 or 30 giant water desalination plants. The only similar plant I know of in the U.S. is one that is being built in Tampa, FL. I'm not certain, but I think that GE is somehow involved in the building of these plants - or maybe they were the developers of the technology.

NO SUBSTITUTE FOR PROPER DIVERSIFICATION

As a professional trader I feel confident to say the following:

Even Jim Cramer says that to be diversified- an investor should have at least five (5) separate investments in unrelated areas or industries.
That means that no single investment should have more than 20% of your investable capital at risk on a single venture concept.
I prefer ten (10) or more separate ventures these days because of my personal story, see below.

Personally, I was a floor trader on the CME/IMM Chicago exchange and I temporarily thought that I could risk all of my capital in one investment vehicle, it happened to be Gold. After all, I was right there and I could act quickly, if necessary, to protect myself. Well, let me tell you - IT IS NOT TRUE. While I was on the floor and in the pit - Pres. Carter made a presidential announcement that his administration was going to defend the US dollar and guess what - In less than 3 seconds - the price of Gold at the exchange was down the daily limit and it STAYED DOWN LIMIT. Virtually everyone in the pit and elsewhere got caught with huge losses - and being on top of everything even inside the pit did not help at all. The lesson learned was - there is NO SUBSTITUTE FOR PROPER DIVERSIFICATION, if you want to be a long term player in the game - do not go ALL IN. That is tempting financial suicide, and Murphy's Law is a real player at that poker tablle.

bucfish,

Have you actually invested with Euro Pacific or have personally known anyone to?

Read Peter's book

We are investing some of our measly retirement fund with them. We believe what they are saying. Check out some of the currency funds and you will see. Getting our money out of the dollar is very important for us. The mystery is how exactly we should do that. We trust Europacific but they certainly aren't perfect. It is important that you do your homework and not blindly give your money to anyone. Also, their fees seem higher than others.

But, read his book if you haven't. Then you may be more comfortable with whatever decision you make.
