Ron Paul followers pose danger for McCain in West
Submitted by WhitfieldGeorge on Thu, 07/31/2008 - 02:46
Here is a new article from the Associated Press:
http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5iybyrJpNITSn-U8QIWUzrfBXi...
Here is an extract from the article with a quote from Ron Paul:
"Paul hasn't endorsed, but it is clear whom he is not supporting.
'I do encourage all the alternatives, obviously, because I can't support either of the two candidates from the Republican or Democratic parties," Paul said this month in an interview on Revolution Radio, an Internet-based station run by his supporters. "I think that might send a message.'"

Let us pray we don't get this race won for Obama
we have got to pull his people to the Ron Paul side of the fence. Ron Paul all the way.
You've inspired me tog.

Freedom is only for those with the guts to defend it!
McBush is a Fiscal CONSERVATIVE??
on WHAT planet would that be? I have always been an Independant, but changed to Republican to vote in the closed Primary in FL this year, It was hard enough to register as a Repuke, given the current administration, but to vote for Ron Paul, it was an Honor!
They think RP Republicans will "come home" and vote for McInsane? IN A PIG'S EYE! Why doesn't McIdiot come home and start acting like a conservative Republican instead? The man is a CRIMINAL for crying out loud! Keating 5 member, but few seem to remember that. Sorry, we already have enough criminals in the WH already. Maybe he could rent a room in Paraguay with Bushie instead.

Yes, I was happy to sign and let the GOP know what I think since they spurned Ron Paul and have treated his supporters so shabbily. I was also happy to let them know that I will not be voting for the Republican candidate, unless it will be Ron Paul. Even though I don't live in the West, I will be giving them trouble elsewhere.
Two Alternatives to McCain Reported in Article
This second paragraph from the article is a good summary:
"In the libertarian-leaning West, where Paul's message of distrust of the federal government and ardent individualism played particularly well, there is talk of Republicans straying from McCain. Libertarian candidate Bob Barr has emerged as a favorite alternative for Paul activists, followed by Constitutional Party candidate Chuck Baldwin."
Don't blame us.
We didn't do this to the party, the party did it to themselves. The neocons have got to go down. Then maybe we can save the party and the country. It wouldn't do the world any harm either.
Keep the faith.
PS - No, I'm not coming home and voting for McSame.
I laughed when it quoted the
I laughed when it quoted the McCain campaign as saying we would come to them.... HA! I'd rather eat dog food.... although, voting for McCain wouldn't be any different.
Dogfood won't get you killed...
...but voting for McCain... ? I'm glad I'm too old for the draft.
This article
is basically saying people will be swayed to vote Libertarian. Remember Chuck Muth the guy that bad mouthed Ron Paul supporters and the delegate situation in Nevada. Not really sure who he is, but pull up the articles that were posted here and they are full of insults. "Wackos, "Paultards", blah, blah. I am assuming this would be the same guy. It says nothing about supporting Ron Paul. I have no interest in McCain or the Libertarian candidates.
Chuck Muth...
You might want to check out this thread at ronpaulforums

for a long discussion about the NV delegation...and some very interesting posts from a guy called "Mike Davis." This Davis begins posting at the bottom of page 1... He also has written blogs using the term "Paultards," writing in a very condescending manner which sounds so very, very like Chuck Muth. This article says Muth is a "a leading conservative activist," but I find him little more than an annoying and inconsistent/illogical blogger.

Yes, Paulette, I remember
So this whole article does nothing for me. Basically, it is just another spin on how unhappy McCain supporters and Ron Paul supporters will be flocking to the Libertarian party. I don't know exactly who Muth is or what his agenda is but it is clear he is not fond of us. I think there were 2 or 3 insulting articles posted here from him.
None that I know...
"Ron Paul supporters will be flocking to the Libertarian party"
None of the R[EVOL]utionary Patriots that I know are flocking to the Libertarian Party. They, like myself, are displeased with the Libertarian Party's candidate for President and, like myself, they are inclined to write-in Ron Paul in the general election if necessary.

Most of the Ron Paul supporters I know were already IN the LP
Myself included. But I'm always happy to find freedom fighters everywhere.
Remember, we Libertarians and Ron Paul supporters actually nominated Dr. Paul for president in 1988. Many of us have been supporters since then, and many of us have been the backbone of this movement to support Ron Paul and his ideals.
In fact, did you know that the R[EVOL]ution logo was used in a Libertarian candidate's campaign prior to Ron Paul's run? He said he decided it was a good logo for Ron Paul's campaign, and re-used it.

I agree with you. There is no way I am voting for the Libertarian candidate. Even if it is a throw-away...I'm voting for Ron Paul. The only other possibility is if Dr. Paul comes out and strongly urges us to vote for someone else, then I might consider it. Otherwise...it is Ron Paul write-in. After what has happened here, I seriously doubt our votes really count anyway and the most important thing we need to do is re-educate Republicans to Liberty.

No Way GOP
I wasted my vote - voting Republican for over 20 years....
the only way I vote Rep this year is if Ron Paul is there.
McBama - is one in the same - no lesser of 2 evil voting anymore
absolutely no more party allegiance voting -

Fat chance Senator McCain...

"The McCain campaign says they expect many Paul voters to come home to the GOP before Nov. 4."
Ain't gonna happen for this Arizonan. At one time I was an ardent McCain supporter, previous to hearing about the good doctor. His efforts to lead the push for amnesty was a cold hard wake-up call to the real world of the one party system. Now, I see McCain as just a poser, still milking his "I'm a Maverick..." line. If the GOP thinks many Paul supporters are going to fall back in line, they must be high on elephant dung.
I'd like to stay in the GOP and work within, but the itch to change party affiliation to the Libertarian party is pretty strong.
Politically, I'm finally home.
My Friends....
I hate the bastard. When I look back on all the debates I see seven douchbags and one great guy. Period.

who will not be voting for "my friend." I have been a Republican all my life!

Well yall, it seems McCain's people have been going senile of late... I can tell yall one thing- unless they nominate RP (highly unlikely-but a little optimism never hurts) This Republican will never vote with my party again!
I am home!
Great article---thanks for sharing!
In response to the quip, "The McCain Campaign says that they expect many Paul supporters to come home to McCain by Nov.4" . . .
Dear McCain Campaign,
Home is where the heart is, and Ron Paul's got mine. And I am NOT moving! This crowded house is FULL of republicans just like myself, and we are welcoming more every day! We'll be putting an addition on soon --- it's called the The White House.
LOL so true so true!! t.y. 4 that

What a joke
"The McCain caimpagn expects many Paul supporters to come home to the GOP before Nov. 4th".....HaHaHaHa
We may come home to the GOP
on Nov 4 if Dr. Paul is the nominee.
Actually
They intend to take our votes home to McCain. They don't need us to cast a vote for McCain, they will just move them over to McCain after we cast them.
