Why not begin a Paul/Ventura Independent run in MN for a September Surprise?

If America is ready to focus on the truth, then Paul/Ventura can win 35% plus and change the future?

Ron Paul-Gary Johnson 2012 run makes more sense to me. Gary Johnson, is younger, better looking and also a two-time governor (vs a one term Jesse Ventura).
For 2008 it is already too late for any Indy run, and why on earth would Dr. Paul do that if his intention is to bring the GOP back to its roots? Dr. Paul is very wise to remain in the GOP and work from within, if this is not possible, then- and only then - he can change to another party. I do think a looming election defeat of the GOP under McCain it would be much easier to "take control" of the GOP from November 5th than before this! The GOP would be then defining themselves in opposition to the Dems and would switch about the war as well, as Obama would sit with not only the Iraq problem, but also Iran and Afghanistan and face opposition from his own supporters over time.

The rally could set the stage for a Ventura/Paul 2012 run. If Ron could mentor jessie for the next 4 years in the ways of the force, ventura could be ready to take on the empire come just four years from now.RP could truly be what cheney was supposed to be for Bush, a wise elder statesman guiding the young leader. Pretty sweet thought.

I think I could stand to offer up some bodily organs for this to happen and probably go broke in the process of helping campaign were this to ever be a ticket.

because the deadline for ballot access in several states has already passed, and most of the other states' deadlines are approaching in the next couple of weeks.

It would be cool to get the picture, Ron and Jessie holding hands like they're a ticket. The next day it would be interesting to get the networks wondering what if. If the polls showed 20 or so percent that would guarantee getting in the debates. That would be awesome, but alas a dream.
