email from McCain

I got this email from McCain today.

So I'm thinking about hosting an event as described in the email. Not to support McCain but rather to try to turn any attendees into Ron Paul supporters. Failing that, the objective will be to completely demoralize the McCain supporters who show (thinking there are very few real McCain supporters out there and if half the people at our little meeting are Ron Paul supporters, that has to be pretty demoralizing for the McCain folks).

We are less than 100 days out from the election and I'm in a tight race with my opponent. Connecting with fellow supporters on the ground is one of the most important things you can do to help ensure victory in November. We are two weeks away from my campaign's first McCain Nation national event day, and I'm asking you to take part in it.

This first national event day is important for spreading the word at the local level and getting our supporters organized. You are the best possible surrogate for my campaign and I'm counting on you to take the lead in convincing others in your community. I need your help in getting your neighbors organized so we can win in November.
