Kohls "Love Revolution" Commercial

If they're right, that plagiarism is the highest form of flattery, then we should be blushing.
I was watching TV at a friends place when this commercial came on:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ZXnbT_BSvo
It consists of a number of notable bands singing a song about a "Love Revolution", marching in the streets and calling for a new Constitution. While I think many of us would be happier if we just followed our old one, I find it hard to believe that this isn't a nod of sorts toward the R3VOLution.
»

I like the revolution part
but I don't want a new constitution.
Wow.
I sure wasn't getting the "love" feeling when I was there a month ago and had to talk my kid out of getting a t-shirt that said, "If you choke a smurf what color does it turn".
Now Chevy
I think is the one that has a car that is hybrid, I guess, and they advertise it as "a revolution." I think it is totally a decision to water the word down so that it doesn't point straight to us.
Kohl's
I don't watch much TV, so I just saw the Kohl's revolution commercial for the first time last night. Of course, the links to the R3VOLUTION are there.
Reminds me of this summer, when the DC metro's ad campaign. The sides of the buses were marked with "Join the REVOLUTION.", revolution being in large, stencil letters, all caps: as if spray painted, black on a white background.
N
Reading way too much into this.
It's a Lenny Kravitz song from the late 80's early 90's. Kohl's picked it to appeal to the parents of the kids that like the bands singing it. The idea is that the parents might not know what song it is but they liked it the first time around so they will be drawn to it again, and the kids will see Avril and tell their parents they want to go to Kohl's. I would be surprised if anyone at Kohl's actually listened to the lyrics at all.
I considered that the revolution this commercial refers to
could possibly be a move within the industry to change(revolution) the way commercials are done(things are sold) and that it is time for a new rule book(new constitution)---- What made me consider this was this:
appeal to juniors-most of the kids were "grunge"
music-most of those bands span several generations of styles and genres
While I am sure they are not promoting a particular movement or belief system I do believe they have been influenced by this guy Olafub mentions in his post above. Herb and Allen
Definetly a new kinda -backtoschool- commercial

Like everyone else
They too are trying to jump in front of this crowd and steer us into Kohls.
Personally, I resent it. This is dead serious and they are talking about "shopping." I've really had it with the whole "shopping" idea. I've also had it with simple, somewhat stupid, half dressed "fashionable" females. I mean, we supposedly have started to marginalize men as not being smart enough to be "heads of household." But we have really marginalized young females as being so simple minded and that this is the cool way (or is that cuil) to be. Ugh.
I agree with
you. They have this s@#$ down to a science. My dad was a businessman many years ago and what we have is NOT Capitalism it's Crapism. The mind is a fragile thing protect it from those who would control it. I had a degree in advertising (sex sells) is what I heard over and over. People are so easy to manipulate no wonder we are in such dire straits. Peace Patriots

Hahaha! Dire Straits! Gotta love them (the group)!
Well, at least everyone
Well, at least everyone knows that they have been "advertised to", but you got to admit that it was a good ad. At least it is for Kohl's instead of CFR or the Obama Campaign...

where is the call to boycott
where is the call to boycott Kohl's for this treasonous ad. personally I will let Kohl's know I disagree with their call for a new constitution-maybe it was just an ad but they reach thousands of young people and this just seems like NWO propaganda targeting our young minds....
BOYCOTT KOHL'S UNTIL THEY EXPLAIN THEMSELVES AND RETRACT THIS AD

Who owns Kohls?
'In 1972 the British-American Tobacco Company's (parent of U.S. subsidiary Brown & Williamson Tobacco Co.) U.S. retail division, BATUS Inc., bought a controlling interest in Kohl's Corp., which at the time operated 50 grocery stores, six department stores, three drug stores and three liquor stores. The Kohl family, led by Allen and Herb Kohl, stayed on to manage the company. The family left the management in 1979, and Herb Kohl went on to become a United States Senator and owner of the Milwaukee Bucks.

who then? someone with an agenda for molding minds
toward needing a new constitution-ever how subliminal it might be.....I know NWO is a stretch but you get my point don't you?

Sure I do but they didn't
Sure I do but they didn't write that song just for this campaign.

THINK ABOUT THIS
executive order from you know who that said in the event of chaos a NEW CONSTITUTION would be put in place. HMMMM! They are going to subvert the revolution and steer it to globalism. Oh, yes this is how they work and it works well. You have to admit, they have been doing this for so long I bet they could do it in their sleep. There is NO WAY this would have made it on air without approval. I think they are saying if we can't beat them then join them and twist the message. Watch and we will learn from this if we don't we are back to square one. Peace Patriots

I got mad
when I saw that. It is time for a NEW constitution? It is time to get the old one back and stop ignoring it. I might be too defensive but I felt like it was more media brainwashing. And I like her. She's Canadian though.
SO DID I...........
......it was disgraceful for me to see a song about a NEW constitution when the problem isn't with the OLD one, it's with not following it. I am not sure what to think of it.
ln
Now if they would only
have ron paul 2008 at the end of the damn commercial that would be better :(

Stop the NWO....It's just illumi..Naughty !
My thought when I saw it...
An attempt to marginalize the revolution.
Take name recognition away from what matters and drive sheeple to Kohls'.
I don't know... I'm not an expert... just my thoughts.
Me too
I was thinking the same thing...
Tres chic...
very smart move on Kohl's part, imo....

Freedom is only for those with the guts to defend it!
From looking at the comments
From looking at the comments on YouTube the song was written by Lenny Cravitz (who is dancing in the commercial, he is the only one I recognized). That said, people were saying her version was better.
I like the idea that any of these bands, which all seemed to be known by name, would be for the revolution.

I enjoyed it. I kept looking for Ron Paul
I enjoyed it. I kept looking for Ron Paul to come on and start dancing.
Let's get him a little liquored up maybe he'll dance in a loin cloth

Let's get Cynthia McKInney and her supporters at the Rally and
invite King Solomon. I want to stand united with a rainbow of folks.
Afterall, Ron Paul's latest youtube talked about all of us being united.
Kohl's
I saw the commercial last night for the first time. I love your idea for Ron Paul dancing in it....sort of like the bald guy with big glasses who used to dance on the Six Flags commercial.
On a serious side, I do support Ron Paul, and hope Carol a full recover.
