Party lady at county fair

I decided yesterday afternoon that I was going to annoy the Republican and democratic officials at the fair. I started with the republicans by asking them for a change of registration form so that I was no longer affiliated with their party. The lady was not happy and engaged me for a few minutes in conversation. I found out she had voted for Paul, as well as her family, but were backing the McCain campaign.
Moral of the story: Don't underestimate the power of toeing the party line. I have so many friends who cannot stand McCain but are going to vote for him, because they believe he will be better than Obama.
But to quote myself from yesterday...
Party lady: You know what you'll get from the other side
Me: And I know what I will get from McCain-"walks away to get another funnel cake"

well the story started out

well the story started out good, got better... I am not sure I liked the ending though... Stupid two party system. Your quote, made me happy though :)

I'd never vote for any

I'd never vote for any Republican other than Ron Paul.

McCain is the essence of a post-911 Republican: No principles, socially liberal on most issues, warmongering, slavishly devoted to the neo-con dream, the New World Order and Big Government; ignorant in the extreme.

It's entirely logical that McCain should be the Republican nominee. When they fall into the ashbin of history, they have no one to blame but themselves.

What's wrong with

socially liberal? Dr. Paul is socially liberal, more so than McCain. Socially liberal means supportive of personal liberty, as distinct from economic liberty. McCain I think is socially authoritarian.

Paul is socially conservative on abortion, but that's about it.

"Traditional conservativism," otherwise known as classical liberalism, is social liberalism (liberalism meaning liberty) and economic liberalism (liberalism meaning liberty) combined.

McCain is preferable than Obama

but Barr is preferrable than McCain, so no, not me.

And...

Baldwin is preferrable to Barr...

Not as

good as a speaker/debater. Not as effective.

True...

Except Baldwin is a very good speaker IMO. I saw him at the Revolution March in person. I may vote for Barr though.

But, if Barr can get into the debates, he would destroy Obama and McCain on national TV. That would be beautiful.

I like Baldwin ideologically, but Barr has a possibility, albeit small, to get into the debates and have a real impact in this election.

Ron Paul has my vote..

No way

I will either write in Ron Paul or vote third party.

But, unfortunately, my husband still wants to vote for McCain because he can't stand Obama.

It looks like McCain will win. He has strong MSM support and the sheeple will follow.

Tell him his one vote

is not going to change the outcome of the election anyway.

Will I vote for McCain?

Will I vote for McCain?

The short answer is, "No."

The long answer is, "Hell no!"

Got a call

a few days ago from my county chair asking me to help the McCain campaign. She said I know you supported Ron Paul but I thought you may be coming around to John McCain. I almost puked.

After we were blacklisted by party operatives at the Congressional District assemblies there is no way I will support John McCain much less work to help get him elected. I guess they already ran out of McCain volunteers. I have yet to see a McCain bumper sticker. These idiots are going to go to the RNC to support a man they won't even put a bumper sticker on their car to support. Pathetic.

ha!

i just left the best comment!! Man i feel good about this!!

Unless things change, I will be voting for

None Of The Above.

This will be the first time in over 20 years that I will not vote for the Republican candidate.

I will no longer be wasting my vote on candidates who are not good enough to lead a parade.

NOT THIS RP SUPPORTER

as I said before....... I

as I said before....... I would rather cut my own head off with a pair of dull scissors before I would vote for McCain!

as for me and my home, we shall worship the LORD

No Way

but they have there polling at 50-50 to try and eliminate 3rd party votes. Meaning that people will vote for the lesser of 2 evils instead of wasting there vote. What a scam those poles are

No Way!

I've noticed those of us who opted to remain active in the republican party have been pressured to show our loyalty by "warming up" and throwing our support to John McCain. To that, I say f@#k you! I did not join the republican party to support a "centrist" candidate! The republican party has fallen from grace because it's strated from it's basic conservative values, and we're part of the movement to bring to back to the right where it belongs!

He won't be getting my vote.

I would venture to guess that MOST RP supports understand that voting for McCain over Obama is a waste of a vote. They'll both work toward their globalist agendas so I think a protest vote (if that's all it ends up being) for Bob Barr, Chuck Baldwin, Or a write-in for Ron Paul would send shockwaves through the Republican party. They'll realize that they're losing ground and maybe, just maybe, we could realize some positive change as a result of their dismal, and completely attributable to RP, failure in the next election.

Don't let your previous Republican ties make you vote for that scumbag McCain. He's a warmonger and globalist of the highest order. He was hand picked to get the nomination since everyone knows that there was no way he could have won it on his own, not after the amnesty fiasco.

Vote with a write-in, or Barr or Baldwin. Make a statement that will possibly have some positive effect.
