Mullen warns against USS Liberty redux

The top American military officer has warned Israel against orchestrating 'USS Liberty Part II' to provoke a US-led war against Iran.
In early July, Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen visited Israel to discuss the Iranian nuclear program with his Israeli counterpart, Lieutenant General Gabi Ashkenazi, and other Israeli officials.
During the talks, Adm. Mullen cautioned that the Israeli attack on the USS Liberty in 1967 is the type of incident that should be 'avoided in any future military actions' in the Middle East, the Jerusalem Post reported.

Hmm, the shell game continues
Questions come to mind:
Is the warning genuine, or code for "hey dude, they're on their way, get ready."
With the current mentality of the masses here, I suspect if it does get hit, they still won't buy into Israel having another oops. "no no, Israel got warned, and it got hit anyway. Israel is our ally, so they listened to the warning- it had to be Iran."
Call me a cynic, but there's still a lot of lemmings out there, and there is still a big 'honey-do' list on the oval office desk. All I do know is that if it gets hit, this whole thing is likely to erupt so bad that the USGS is gonna peek up from their cubicle and say "WTF was that?"
