IMO, Nevada has done it again...to another of the true Republicans who could serve this state with wisdom. I am now going to vote for only known Ron Paul Republicans, donate no monies to the State or National Republican Party...only directly to Ron Paul Republicans or to the Campaign for Liberty. They do understand money...they run basically as a MLM venture and donations are their lifeblood. Cut them off monetarialy - that they understand.

Smack Campaign Turned Away By Victory '08 Officials
Access to RNC phone bank system used by Heller and other candidates is denied to Smack Campaign by Republican Victory '08 officials
RENO, NV, August 5, 2008— Officials from the RNC’s Victory '08 organization have refused to allow the James Smack campaign access to the phone bank system at the Washoe County Republican office in Reno. The phone bank system has already been utilized by other Republican candidates, including Smack’s opponent, Dean Heller.
“The decision to exclude the James Smack campaign is very unfortunate,” said Wayne Terhune, campaign manager for James Smack. “All we are asking for is a level playing field, and that seems to be denied to us.”
The new Washoe County Republican office has an advanced phone bank system that is being used to drum up support for Republican candidates, including Congressman Dean Heller. James Smack is a Republican challenging Heller in the primary election. Yesterday afternoon, a Smack campaign official attempted to schedule a date to use the phone system, but was turned down.
“We were told earlier that this phone system was available for use by any Republican candidate, but that does not seem to be the case,” Terhune said. “We are very disappointed by this decision. We are not being treated fairly.”

It is the V '-08 group which is causing the limitation....not the local Republican office. Matter of fact, Heidi Smith, County Chair, has been most reasonable to deal with.....

We can make this a big story in northern Nevada, I think, if we put pressure on the local media - it worked before with the convention story!
If this story got on the news, it would do Smack's campaign more good than paid-for advertising.

GOD #*^%$+ Dammit!!!! I am sooo pissed. You know James Smack and Carl Bunce are absolutely amazing candidates. I wish we could clone em and spread them around! When will this end? Is the road we are choosing through the republican party really the right road? I know, I know, what else do we have to work with? But geesh one can only be ram rodded in the their bum so many times! ARRRGGGHH
James Smack has worked VERY hard for Ron Paul...
...and for Nevada. Much of Ron Paul's success at the State Convention in April was because of Mr. Smacks' excellent preparation and knowledge of the issues that allowed him to express his (our) positions in a legal and practical manner... this is how we continued to win over delegates throughout the day.
Please do whatever you can to help this very dedicated Patriot who at great cost to his personal finances and time away from his family has stood up on your behalf to fight an overwhelmingly corrupt and powerful machine that is the NV GOP. You have all read the stories coming out of Nevada and I'm sure some of you are getting a little tired of hearing from us but this IS the front line for us... we live here... we work here... we have to survive here and we all made a choice to stand up and have our voices heard... but that is not the America we live in anymore.
When a man like James Smack steps up then WE, as a powerful nation of Patriots, must work collectively to help get these dedicated individuals elected. They are standing up to the school bully and if we don't come out and publicly show them the support they deserve... then the bully will continue to do whatever he wants because nobody is strong enough to take 'em all by themselves... we need the group... and if the rest of us don't stand up RIGHT NOW... this will just become about bitter losers later who just want to complain. Expose the truth at any cost and PLEASE support James Smack... He has certainly SUPPORTED YOU!

"You have all read the stories coming out of Nevada and I'm sure some of you are getting a little tired of hearing from us but this IS the front line for us... we live here... we work here... we have to survive here and we all made a choice to stand up and have our voices heard..." I'd just like to add that while much of what has been brought up here is about what has happened in Nevada, and another example would be Neuces County, TX, we must remember, somewhere we have to take a stand and not back down. That's a R3volution, for truth. Look at what the Terhunes and over 300 dedicated delegates did on behalf of the voters in this state and the true, conservative Republicans. The cost is/was considerable..time, money, efforts and why? , Because they believe it is time to make a stand. Is it easy? No way, try a front row seat and you will be aghast at the ploys, delays and tactics of the NV GOP. So, this is for us, for NV...but in the long run, please realize it is for the country and for the Campaign for Liberty. (off my soapbox now...this just gets me so riled up!)

This IS where the rubber meets the road. Geek Sneek is right People James Smack is AMAZING! I'm from WA State and I would vote for him if I could! I have to say though that my funds are tapped between all my C4L duties and my own Wa State RP candidates as well as our PCO race. I cannot help with cash, however I DO have 2 tickets to the rally (good ones!) that I can donate so what's his email?

Please note that this denial is being done by "Victory '08" (an arm of the RNC) -- NOT the local Republicans. Apparently, the V'08 people have parked themselves in the Washoe Republican office.

Time to sue the Nevada GOP and make certain all the delegates at the GOP convention know about this. There may actually be some McCain delegates with integrity...

Actually there are McCain delegates with integrity...they are the same ones who voted for the nominations to come from the floor of the NV GOP Convention...the legal thing to do!....and I know they will be concerned.
Also, if I were one of the "appointed" delegates by the insider "club," and had integrity, I would certainly question accepting such an appointment due to the disrespect for NV voters and Republicans as being shown by the attitude of the NV GOP. The marginalization of Ron Paul and Ron Paul type candidates is overwhelmingly against the actual Party Rules which state:
