US Federal Judge decides Denver can restrict Convention Protests
Submitted by rs3515 on Thu, 08/07/2008 - 02:59in
In another blow to civil liberties, a federal judge ruled on Wednesday that protesters at the Democratic National Convention in Denver can be restricted to fenced-in areas. The judge felt that security needs outweigh any infringement on personal rights.

Barack H. Obama
I'm sure that the presumptive "Democratic" nominee will be at the forefront of decrying this abomination. And if you believe that I have some real estate in a quiet neighborhood of Baghdad to sell you.

How much?
How much for the property? Does it have at least 2 full baths?
I love Barack, I trust him with my life. He is going to save me. He is going to give me change. Change from your pocket, that persons pocket over there, and so on.
The plan is working like clockwork
The vast majority of Americans see protesters as dangerous nuts, due to the little govt thugs who cause violence such as at the WTO in Seattle, 1999. They come in, purposely cause violence so then the media reports the protesters are out of control.
I guarantee that probably 90% of Americans, likely more, have no clue what the truth is about the violence at those protests. All they see is protesters, rioting, police having to crack down on them, and then they think that the protesters deserved it.
Same is going for the DNC. The public thinks these "nuts" need to be caged up and kept away from the convention. They are dangerous. How dare they think they are going to protest. Protesting is what dangerous freaks do. You think you're going to exercise your right to protest? That right ought to be removed, it's dangerous. We can't have that right, thinking you can protest near the rulers of our country, when security demands you have no freedoms left to exercise.
They wanat the protesters to get pissed off. And let me tell you, police have already been trained that "terrorists", and I use that word in all sincerity, they literally have been trained that terrorists are coming to protest. There's a deputy that I know, who has since moved away from where I live, but I still talk to him somtimes online. He told me about how terrorists are going to disrupt the DNC. That's what he has been told through his work, and he doesn't live anywhere in Colorado. He is only referring to protesters who have been witnessed being at other events protesting. But because they have a habit of standing up against govt, they are terrorists. That's what he has been taught. Imagine what the police in Denver have been taught?
They want these protesters to get pissed off. They want violence. They need an excuse to crack down on them, and I suspect they will make sure that excuse is created. This will be one more serious blow to our right to protest. It's gonna happen, I can just feel it.
Like I said, their plan is working like clockwork. Tick Tock, Tick Tock, boom. Time is up, ,and they are going to be there to show the "terrorists" that the long arm of the law is ready to shut them down in a harsh way. Game over. The media will make sure that the rest of America sees this. That they know to never protest, because protesting is what dangerous anti-govt freaks do.
This whole cage thing is
This whole cage thing is ridiculous. Look at the 1st Amendment. “Congress shall make no law prohibiting the free exercise of people to peaceably assemble.” They can say this is for “security.” Yet, it’s painfully obvious this is for control. How does putting a group of likeminded people in cage lead to anything peaceful? Only the people outside of the cage see the peace.

What about the citizen's arrest thing? He violated the Constitution? Maybe more citizen arrests should be happening. Anyone study up on this?

Maybe the judge did not read the Constitution?
And forgot the oath to protect it?
I can just hear the judge's response in an imaginary world where the judge was brought up on charges of treason:
"When making the oath, I moved my lips, but did not exhale."

Unconstitutional
This judge needs to be removed. The first amendment states:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
The judicial branch has no rights under the constitution to infringe on any bill of rights let alone the 1st amendment. Therefore this judge's ruling is thus null and void. This judge should still be removed for infringing on people's first amendment right.
How much longer are we going to put up with this megalomaniac fascist corrupt bullshit?

How Much Longer?
I guess until people dare to start taking matters into their own hands. Death is a serious deterrent to violating liberties, the only question is, who dares? Who is willing to truly sacrifice themselves in defense of the Constitution?
Judges will continue to make unconstitutional judgments and abuse their power as long as they feel they are under no threat.
If nobody dares, then we are not there yet, but thousands have already given their lives to defend the Constitution in the past, so there will come a time.
