Cool Places to live off grid & get a way too...Post them here!
Submitted by Treg on Thu, 08/07/2008 - 12:06
Here is my land in the small town of Prescott Arizona.
I will will split it for my fellow Patriots.
If Martial Law & Tyranny comes, this little Arizona town has it all and will make it through. The right cool elevation, the right mix of everything you need in a town, millions of acres of cattle country, and the people all have the western "can-do" spirit. Heck one of the coolest business up here is an exporting Fish Farm!
So get your second place, go on (or off) grid, build your own retreat, and long live the R3VOLution!

Fern Forest Hawaii
Get 3 acres of land for $20,000. Temperate climate (85 high-40 low) in the tropical jungle on the Big Island but only 25 miles from Hilo. Live off-grid with your own water catchment tank, geothermal heat & air and solar power. Plenty of room and water to grow your own food. Enough removed from the suburbs where people look out for each other and "don't take kindly to strangers". Even the police have a reputation of not going on a property unannounced for fear of being shot. Come and join us!

Living on a sailboat
From 1998 until 2003 I lived on a large sailboat and traveled the world. The boat had a wind generator, solar panels, propane stove and oven, a water maker, and single side band (like ham radio) for long distance communications.
It was not an easy life, but it was GREAT!

So that's it!
Your hoping pirates will get me, and it wouldn't bother your conscience none too much either.

Good post!
I thought I lived in a cool, remote place, but not off the grid---then I heard a rumor that 20,000 people will come here if there is a 'disaster' in the coastal cities! Can anyone say "FEMA Camp"?
But try this website www.gazellelandandtimber.com which has small places for sale in a remote canyon in NE Oregon--good growing climate, and good, self-reliant people in the area.
i'd probably go home to
i'd probably go home to Colorado....

Wonderful pictures DaddyWarBucks!
It looks so serene there. With bright hopes for tomorrow, I pray for this nation and it's return to do what is right and have that healthy fear of God which can only bring blessings.
