Anyone going? Florida is all to quiet these days!!! And oh! there is a hurricane headed our way.

I wasn't planning on camping, but I think this is where I will be. I think I am going to arrive early and stay the entire time. if I go this route, I will have an extra ticket and an extra sleeping room. I am a fit male with a pickup truck. I am thinking this is where I can do the most good. and these are definately the type of people I want to support. they have stuck thier necks out to help, I can get my hands dirty and I can haul firewood too. heck, that sounds like fun to me!

A friend and I are planning to take the Ronvoy back to MN for The Rally for the Republic and have questions:

1. It looks like the departure time from LA to MN is Sat 8/30 at 6am but I'm confused as to the date and departure time to return to LA. In one place it looks like it's Weds 9/3 at 6am and another place it looks like it's Thurs 9/4 at 10pm.

The departure date from MN to head back to LA will be on Wednesday, September 3rd for all routes. MOST routes will arrive back in their home city by Thursday night at 10pm. Vans are due back on Friday, September 5th at 9am, so theoretically longer routes would have this additional time to travel, if necessary.

2. Will lodging be included in the Ronvoy ticket price of $175. ?

Lodging is NOT included in the price of the Ronvoy - but we are currently working on package pricing, including the Ronvoy, lodging and meals and in-town transportation to the C4L events in MN. We should have those package prices live by tonight or tomorrow morning.

3. Do we travel straight through from LA to MN to the lodging?

Routes are based on straight-through travel - but the further routes will depart on Friday, and the closer routes will not depart until Saturday morning. L.A., for instance, will depart on Friday and can arrive at the campgrounds as early as Saturday evening.

4. If there's a layover along the way because for some reason we cannot travel straight through in one day, then how is that handled?

We are not planning for layovers along the way, unless the entire group is in agreement about laying over. For instance, the Seattle group has specifically requested that they layover in Billings, MT on the way to MN. They are making their own arrangements to do this along the route.

5. On the Ronvoy round trip, are any meals provided or are we on our own?

Meals along the Ronvoy route are the responsibility of the passengers. All meals are included at the campgrounds, except for Tuesday dinner, due to the fact that most people will be in MN at the Rally on Tuesday evening. In addition, instead of breakfast and lunch, we will be doing a brunch on Tuesday morning, that way we can eat later in the morning, and then head on over to the Rally.

6. On the website it looks like there SHOULD be in-town transportation from the lodging to the rally and yet another place, it looks like we're on our own. I'm confused.

In-town transportation is included for travelers on all Ronvoy routes who are lodging at Camp Iduhapi. The rates have been figured with the additional fuel in mind for in-town travel to all Rally events.

7. The last time I looked, there was no address in LA to go to to take the Ronvoy back to MN. Do you have the address?

The specific departure locations for each city are in the process of being confirmed now. Detailed itineraries will be sent out to all paid and confirmed travelers for all Ronvoy routes at least about one week prior to departure. In addition, all riders will receive the contact information for their driver, and the drivers will receive a list of all confirmed and paid riders with contact info and departure city locations.

8. I noticed that there's now camping in 2 different campgrounds. How far are they from the Rally for the Republic activities and how would we get there from the campground? How would we contact the campgrounds?

We are in the process of signing the contracts for these two group cabin campgrounds. One, Camp Iduhapi, is being reserved specifically for Ronvoy travelers. The Ronvoy+Lodging packages will include lodging at Camp Iduhapi and meals. Transportation will be provided by the Ronvoy vehicles, directly to the campgrounds, and then all transportation will be provided to events by those same vehicles. Once the package pricing goes live, Ronvoy travelers will go to the eventbrite site and purchase the package deal, and that is how payment is made. It is not necessary to contact the campground directly as we are handling the reservation process for this. Both campgrounds are approx. 35 miles from Minneapolis.

I didn't buy a ticket because of airfare and hotel. But, I'll consider going if anybody around Philly, PA is driving and wants an extra passenger and roommate.

Seattle to Minnesota estimated round trip is around 3600 miles including in town driving to and from RonStock. Assuming my RV gets 12 miles to the gallon (and i've not yet installed an HHO generator) That's an estimated $1300 round trip at a rate of $4.20 or so per gallon. (i'm not sure if that is going to increase much more as we cross states)

I have 2 confirmed passengers and need 1 or 2 more. So right now the cost share is $434 between 3 people. The cost share drops to $325 with four people and $260 with five people.

This is the cost of transportation only. Camping and other amenities are not included. However, I heard threw the meet-ups that Camping at Ron Stock will be cheap and there will likely be transportation from Ron Stock to the events in town.

You must have your own camping gear or be prepared to sleep sitting up in a chair.

I'm bringing one of my dogs. He's small and non-allergenic.

Maybe it's been discussed but perhaps some could work out relays. Not sure that's the right word but idea is people commit to transport pilgrims from point A to next volunteer at point B, hauling as many as possible and then return trip too. My daughter is involved with dog rescue orgs that do this nationwide. Would take some major organizing but perhaps some of you have experience with something similar?
