Accountability Now MONEY BOMB TODAY

0 votes

The Accountability Now ideologically diverse coalition has designated today, August 8th, the anniversary of Richard Nixon's resignation, as the day those of us who care about the erosion of our Constitutional rights can fight back with dollars targeted specifically at those in power who enable that erosion.

We saw what thousands of dollars will buy a phone company with regard to the FISA revisions of last month. Now let's show those law breakers and law makers what thousands of dollars from the grassroots can do.

Trevor Lyman of the original Ron Paul Money Bomb efforts is a very public supporter of the Accountability Now PAC.

I think Lyman

is over-doing the "money bomb" idea.

You can't just have a money-bomb every 15 minutes and expect it to work.

There's more to liberty than raising money. He should learn that.

That's a valid opinion

And Lyman admits as much in the NYTimes link I gave above. I still think this is an important effort to support if you are able. Ron Paul's Liberty PAC is going to do some good with their money, and so is this PAC. They had a bit of a dry run last month and did an admirable job with not loads of money. They're lean, mean and focused. Check out the ads they ran against Chris Carney and Steny Hoyer.

That's good stuff and money well spent. Furthermore, the whole idea of joining forces with dedicated people on the Left over a select group of issues will add credibility to Ron Paul and his supporters. We are not isolated. We are dedicated and diverse. We need to put that message out there.
