ARE WE DOING EVERYTHING WE CAN?
ARE WE DOING EVERYTHING WE CAN?
You know, an image of that painting of George Washington kneeling in prayer beside his horse in the woods at Valley Forge keeps popping into my head and I wonder if we, like the demoralized continental army troops holed up there in that terrible winter of 1777-1778 are not more alike than different.
I have seen people on My Space and the blogosphere in general throw up their hands because the blimp is gone, money bombs are only a fraction of what they were and there have been no decisive break throughs. A lot of fair weather patriots are already back to their cynical haunts saying that there is no future in the movement. Still, a cadre of diehards keep plugging along as if the numbers and the lost battles don't matter. I would imagine that this is a bit of what was going through George's mind during that prayer. It was inconceivable that a ragtag band of dirty hungry men defeated the worlds biggest superpower at that time.... yet does anyone doubt that we did?
Someone once said that God and a courageous man makes a majority. Surely there is logic in that as God created everything out of nothing with a thought alone. The courageous or honest man is superfluous but I do think God wants us to try and that is the meaning of this effort. If we bring along the pry bar, he will add whatever lifting needs to be done. I think there is a catch in that though, that we have to acknowledge where the power comes from. Maybe if we as a group instead of gathering together and waving signs at lugheads sit down either together or alone at a designated time and offer a prayer for inspiration, and the power to effect change for our country we too will realize our goals for our country. It's not going to be easy, it's not going to be overnight but it is never hopeless as long as we have hope.
Just think of what might happen, something could happen that causes McInsane to drop out or be pushed out and then, there certainly would be a brokered convention. I am not advocating giving up by any stretch, just collectively dropping down on a bent knee and asking for divine guidance and then getting back up and soldiering on.
I Ron Pauled part of St Clair Avenue in East Liverpool with pole signs and the strip section of Lisbon near the post office which threw me out earlier and McDonalds. I have used up all the pole signs I have and have about 6 yard signs that I will try to place in the highest traffic locations in the county the next couple of days as I am sure they will last until Tuesday.
I got into a conversation at work where someone asked me why I hadn't given up as Paul cannot win by responding," O.K. I will grant you that he might not win the Ohio primary, but do you expect me to give up my core values to support the three losers still in the race?, How about you, if murder or rape suddenly became fashionable and popular, would you jump on the band wagon or retain your values even if you were the last man on earth to do so?" He responded that he had never thought about it that way but said, "good point" We must not let people wear down our convictions- it is after all the ideas and not the man we are supporting.
Even good Dr. Paul has said that.

Think about it folks.
Thanks again Wayne.

Asking God Wouldn't Hurt A Thing
I'm sure most who have a bit of faith in them have already asked for divine intervention. And I'll give this for the naysayer crowd this is from the preamble to the Texas Constitution
Humbly invoking the blessings of Almighty God, the people of the State of Texas, do ordain and establish this Constitution.
I think if you'll check your own states preamble you'll find pretty much the same.
Peace y'all
I'll see that and raise you
I'll see that and raise you one Ohio Preamble :-)
We, the people of the State of Ohio, grateful to Almighty God for our freedom, to secure its blessings and promote our common welfare, do establish this Constitution.
Trust in God, but tie your camel tight.

why do we have to add the unknown into everything?
how about........courageous men/women make a majority - and leave the crazy idea of a god out of it?
sounds like a winner.
What difference does it make to YOU
what someone else thinks?
OK...Yeah...whatever.
To most of America that lives in the cage without the bars...
They are stuck in the unknown...and don't even know it. Harr-harrr!
Is that redundant or what.
Point IS. It is a great piece.
Suck it up sailor.
We got a R3VOLUTION to win.
No time to squabble over something so trivial.
VIVA the R3VOLUTION!!!
Onward into the fog.

ARE WE DOING EVERYTHING WE CAN? Blast from the past circulated 3
Keep in mind that Wayne sent this out back in March just a few days before the Ohio primary. I am proud to belong to many of the same MeetUp groups as Wayne. And will always be thankfull that Dr. Ron Paul introduced me to a whole new family of patriots.
It is an honor to have Wayne as a new friend...and a brother.

Good to see you T-Steve and
Good to see you T-Steve and thanks for all you do in keeping the Ohio meet-up remnant informed and up to date. I was thrilled to see the Making of America Seminar coming to Newark and signed up this evening. Hope to bring husband too and maybe more. Will do all I can to spread the word and bring others. I'm up to lesson 8 in the free online course they offered late winter and have taken break with summer activities for now. If this seminar is good as the course Principles of Freedom 101/ The 5000 Year Leap, it will be fantastic!
