My opinion about gold
Hello all. Please excuse my English, is my second language.Please don't take this personal, is just my opinion .
I see alot of people going hysteric about the gold and I don't like it, I think is stupid. First off all at this point in time every idiot knows that gold went up lately, it's old news, so give me a break trying to act like you know WTF it will happen with the price of metals. People waited 20 years to see their gold going up in value...and better sale now cause it will go down fast pretty soon.
Second, you or me we don't know where the gold price will go...as you and me didin't know this thing a week, 5 or 20 years ago. We can only speculate. If you think the gold will go up I invite you to borrow as much money possible from the bank, relatives and friends and buy gold...you will make alot of money, right ?
And now, speaking about speculating...I'm 100% sure the price of gold will drop at least to $600 an ounce in the near future. Gold is worth sh.it, gold is nothing, in time of crises before everything you need health, shelter, water, food and safety. You can have gold and it will do nothing good because you won't find nothing to buy, it will be illegal or both. If World War 3 will erupt a 20 lb rice bag will get you way further then an ounce of gold. I know true stories about war times when people give their home for 100 lb of corn.
Gold is not a good investmentt for an average Joe...you don't become rich overnight owning gold and you will lose before you gain. Right now the rich are playing with gold because they are smart and you stupid...the ecuation is very simple, some rich guys, the same who owns the paper money...sat one day across a table drinking iced wiskey and smoking cigars and said "hey, why we don't artificially raise the price of gold (since they owned !!!!), cash in big time to support our companies involved in war (as they did with oil) and after that drop the price and buy it back cheaper...since the suckers will panic or be forced to sell anyway sonner or later to fix their crappy cars".
You see, is not rocket sience, it's just the old business, in the end the big guys makes money and the little guy get f*** up ! Trust me on this one, when EVERYBODY knows about a good deal, that deal will go busted.
Yes, dollars are no good paper, blah,blah,blah, but at the end of the day the dollar pays your mortgage, food, vacation or Escalade...it takes one week for the MSM to turn everithing around and convince the world that USA is again the best ! If you don't belive me just look at those 200.000 idiots in Germany who where celenbrating Obama...all what they need those idiots is Obama to become president, a good speach reasuring the Bush administration tactics are over...and here we are, the world will be again happy.
If you think an eminent economic collapse will happen or something like world war 3...sure, go ahead and buy gold...but make sure you can afford to take a financial loss if that ain't gonna happen.
You people talk about bad economy but you don't seem to understand that the war in Irak is over...USA will start to cash on the back of those poor bastards, good times atre ahead of us...just wait for the oil to go under 100 a barell and you will see optimism again all over.
Anyway...is stupid to buy gold now because is to high and most likely life have other priorities. Have a nice week.

Brazilian government just announced it would be purchasing more U.S. dollars to hedge against falling commodity prices. the dollar is obviously being manipulated to go higher. If it is taken off the market by central bankers around the world and then deposited at the Federal Reserve, then dollars become more attractive on the market. This has to do with the fact that exports from Brazil are still paid for in dollars.

and it's crazy - and funny. This person is not from another country and is angry and bitter. He doen't have any money to invest in gold and silver and I think he drives a Geo.

I have to say this has been the most entertaining thread I have read in a long time. Ahh! Thanks, I needed a good laugh, things have been so depressing and this just some how clicked. I believe there is truth in what you are saying if I understand correctly. When someone is living from pay check to pay check it could be risky investing that money on something that can go up and down like a firework rocket. It doesn't hurt to have some gold and silver but there are some that said they put all their money in it awhile back.
I was very worried when I read that because I thought it was very risky. The elite are counting on our herd mentality to jump on the wagon. Variety is the spice of life and so that is how I have embrace it. Food, water, gold, silver, matches, sleeping bag, toilet paper, cash, backpack, gun, ammo shopping list for survival. I am no fortune teller so I am forced to plan for the worst and hope for the best. Peace and Goodwill

Gold is a store of wealth.
I wouldn't buy gold now, but to sell would be stupid. Who in their right mind would trade gold for a piece of paper? Now if gold falls it is likely that other commodities will fall as well. Trade for those commodities as you need them, but don't be stupid enough to keep your wealth in paper. Buy when it drops.
Having some of one’s
Having some of one’s wealth in Gold has always been prudent. Just as is having some in different currencies, different securities and other investments. You never want all your eggs in one basket. Theoretically, the more baskets, the less likely you are to be left completely ruined if any one, or a few, collapses. In practice, due to fixed costs related to each different basket, unless you are rich enough to have professional money managers working for you full time ( managerS; still don’t put all your eggs….), having cash in a handful of currencies, like Dollars, Euro, Yen, and in my view Swiss Francs and possible (due to peak oil) Norwegian Kroner, as well as some gold and some silver, is nice should the banks you have your money in close down for a good amount of time.
I’m hardly a doomsday prophet, but that scenario is not completely outside the realm of possibility. And it seriously sucks if all your money is in closed down banks. Even if the FDIC eventually gets around to make you whole (albeit in a possibly devalued currency). Having some months of liquidity in your physical possession can be a huge relief is such scenarios.
And similarly, should some populist nut get into power and decide to inflate the US sovereign debt away, and should this trigger competitive devaluations globally….. And I don’t mean to say I believe this is likely. Just that it can happen, and if it does, that gold buried under the house may come in handy, indeed.
At the same time, you are not likely to get very favorable trading terms under such conditions; so, before burying large amounts of gold, make sure you have enough necessities; like water, water filters, non- or slowly perishable and rotated food, perhaps a generator and some diesel (don’t store gasoline unless you really know what you are doing), some solar panels, batteries, first aid material, detergents, disinfectants, guns and ammo etc. to not need to trade for awhile. Nothing sucks like being reamed out of your gold stash by grossly overpaying for water because you’re dehydrating to death, the water company is striking because Arnold is paying them below minimum wage, and the only bottled water outlet in town knows you are desperate enough to pay anything. Or you did store water, but your neighbor did not, and then decided to screw paying the bottle guy; he would steal your stash instead, since he's bigger than you, and you forgot to buy guns and ammo….
So, even though having gold is not some kind of magic solution to all possible problems related to an economic downturn, it should definitely be considered as part of a well thought out preparedness plan.

It's just a counterpoint which makes the kind of sense that most petty gold investors like myself can understand. I bought a "pathetic" gold coin on speculation and have no clue what the next few months hold for gold. I was betting against the dollar because Dr. Paul has explained how filthy dollars really are. In the end, I will have to convert my gold to fix some low-life problem. I was prepared to lose some portion of the investment. Meanwhile the big players have all this stuff figured out ahead of time. I find the post amusing and maersksea is simply a wise-ass like DeFart. Let's not get so mad at this guy. I am sure he is a stupid poor bastard too.
