Carol Paul, wife of U.S. Congressman Ron Paul, has been admitted to a Houston hospital, a Paul spokesperson said.
The spokesperson would not comment on Carol’s condition, but confirmed the congressman had canceled his Monday plans in Victoria.

Update: Carol’s surgery was successful. We are not out of the woods yet, but signs look very positive. If progress continues, doctors may remove her breathing tube tomorrow. Let’s keep our fingers crossed!

Did you get a call from Dr. Paul?
I know his voice, but he did not say it was Dr. Paul. He said, "Hi. My apologies for the message, but for some reason I know you needed to hear this right now. I just wanted to let you know how important you are to me and others. Thanks and haved a great day, bye."
A recording of course, but it sounded so personal and with Carol in the hospital, they are the only thing on my mind right now, as usual!!

You Luvie and your beautiful family when all 60 of you came to Pittsburgh one year ago for the 2007 Paul Family Reunion.
We had the most incredible Ron Paul Love Fest when you came here.
The hotel staff had to keep taking out the partitions of the ballroom until there was an overflow crowd out into the hallways.
You have a beautiful spirit about you Lady. And it's real clear that your 'seed' has been walking in your footsteps.
I want to pray for you now...

Update on Carol Paul

I am sure many Campaign for Liberty members saw this AP story overnight.
Carol, or Luvie as she is known to her family and most of Brazoria County, Texas, is fighting hard, and remains in serious but stable condition. She has excellent doctors who are optimistic that another surgery later today (her third in five days) will be successful and start her on the road to recovery. Dr. Paul and a steady rotation of children and grandchildren remain steadfastly by her side.
Please remember Luvie tonight on your prayers.

I hadn't thought to look at C4L. She is in more of a fight than I had guessed. Must be her heart if she indeed has a pacemaker. Although someone said she had had several "abdominal" surgeries? Don't know.
I feel a little guilty. I'm sure Dr. Paul thought he had agreed to a quick up and down presidential run to get out the "return to liberty/freedom message" and instead the whole country grabbed him and we haven't turned him lose. Totally rocked their otherwise seemingly serene world. He obviously had no idea that "we" would happen to him and his family.

Carol and Dr. Paul as well as many other family members when they came to Boone, NC. Carol is such a sweet and gracious person. She truly is a pillar of strength and encouragement for Dr. Paul. I wish her a speedy recovery and a quick restoration to full health.
