Use the Declaration of Independence to make your Argument
Repubs, Dems Independents, that you confront on Ron Paul ask them if the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution are important to them. If the answer is Yes, proceed with the following:
1. Rights come from God. 2 Governments are below the people not above. 3 Government must be Just. 4 evil men Conspire.
5. Government gets its Power from the people.
The Declaration:Point 1. "We are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights..." Points 2 & 3: "That to secure these Rights, Governments are instituted among Men deriving their 'just' powers from the consent of the Governed." Point 4:" ...Mankind are disposed to suffer, while Evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the Forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and Usurpations, pursuing ilnvariably the same object, evinces a Design to reduce them under absolute Despotism..." Point 5: .."that whenever any Form of Government become destructive of these Ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and institute new Government, laying its Foundation on such Principles, and organizing its Powers in such forms, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and Happiness." Our objective is to return to those principles embodied in the Declaration and restore the rule of law under the Constitution!
This is what was once taught in American schools and was known as Americanism.
