This is REAL folks: NWO,Georgian President just declared that Russia was on the offensive
Submitted by zrih1 on Thu, 08/14/2008 - 21:43
The Georgian President is blaming Russia for the conflict raging in South Ossetia, but former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev said Thursday "there is no doubt" that Georgia provoked the clash. See Larry King on CNN tonite or here .Furthermore, this article in the Washington Post says,
"On the first day of the war, as he spoke on television about his country's attempt to retake a breakaway territory, Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili had a little smile on his face. "
See here. This means that he (the Georgian President) attempted to force S. Ossetia back into its territory. I say, let them be free!
Anyways, my husband believes that Russia is trying to take over two cities in Georgia: Ossetia and the Abkhazia and that Georgia is on the defense. He is so patriotic, you got to love him!
In this article it says that the Georgian minister said this
"It's important that the entire world understands that what is happening in Georgia now will affect the entire world order. It's not just Georgia's business, but the entire world's business."

"How can we justify to the unemployed and underemployed in the United States the incredible cost of maintaining a global empire?" - Dr. Ron Paul
Alex Jones is another farce like Rush, Hannity, etc.
Rush, Hannity, etc. are first level diverters.
Jones is a second level diverter.
First level diverters bait conservatives with conservative talk to gain their trust, then they switche their priority from conservative activism to supporting neo con objectives (e.g., McCain).
But when we see through the first level diverters...boom...there is the second level diverters ready to call BS on the first level diverters to gain our confidence. Once Jones has their confidence, he does the same thing as the first level diverters...divert you to supporting crap...or at least stopping you from following a true path of conservatism.
Both of these levels are pretty easy to see through, but most *choose* not to see it because, deep down, they are scared to really act.
Ron Paul acts...not behind a microphone, but in the halls of government. It is too bad he can't lead us into what really needs to be done...civil disobediance and violence. But really, Ron Paul has done enough. It's up to us now.
What's your point?
LL was giving some news-all you give is your opinion. Whatever beef you have with a reporter doesn't have any bearing on the story-
George Bush is shipping Troops into Georgia. Here's one article from a news reporter (notice it isn't affiliated in any way with Alex Jones)-

Bush Dispatches US military Forces to Georgia
By Barry Grey
14/04/08 "WSW" -- - In a major escalation of the conflict with Russia over Georgia, President George W. Bush on Wednesday announced a “vigorous and ongoing” deployment of US military forces to its key ally in the Caucasus. Bush appeared in the White House Rose Garden for the second time in three days, this time flanked by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Defense Secretary Robert Gates, and announced the military buildup, casting it as a humanitarian relief operation.
Even as he spoke of a humanitarian mission, Bush made clear the military dimensions of the measures he was announcing. He said he was directing Pentagon chief Gates to lead the mission, which would be “headed by the United States military.” He announced that a C-17 military aircraft was already on its way to Georgia and that “in the days ahead we will use US aircraft, as well as naval forces, to deliver humanitarian and medical supplies.”
Before you spout off about your hate for some piece of news know that facts destroy ignorance.

Alex Jones is paid disinformation
Completely agree.
Four quick points -
1.) Ask yourself why Jones sold-out the Waco story to ABC
2.) Heck, ask yourself why GCN is an ABC affiliate
3.) Ask yourself why Jones is invited on FoxNews, CNN, etc. Clearly they are not afraid of him
4.) Ask yourself why Jones tried to convince the entire state of Texas that Y2k was inevitable and that they should take up arms against the gov't
Alex Jones clearly serves his role: centralizing the "movement" so as to lead it in the wrong direction. He is obnoxious, therefore divisive - and mainly appeals to angry men and naive twenty-somethings.
The other role he fills is easy: create a database of names. I wouldn't be surprised if he is doing the same thing Hal Turner (racist 9/11 truther with an internet show, found to be FBI agent - quit show next day) did and is turning over the names.
But don't even be so sure that Ron Paul is above all of this. And believe me, I love the man. I've met him, shook his hand, looked in his eyes, and worked hard for him. I believe the man to be genuine. But I am no longer 100 percent convinced. I first was suspicious when his good friend (Mark Sanford) was at Bilderberg. His letter to the Pope was also an eye-opener. Clearly somebody as intelligent as Ron Paul should see through the lies of the Catholic church (esp. regarding abortion). And there are plenty of issues he won't touch. Where IS HE on this Georgia/Russia conflict? We need him now more than ever.
But.. I pray that I'm wrong.
Elections are a diversion.
Why do we need "representatives"? Why can't we vote directly or by proxy?
Ding! We have a winner.
I want us to have an Election Day Statement Bomb
Take the day off to buy a gun, close accounts with big banks, write in Ron Paul, march, call up/email and chew out talk/news/IRS/Fed Reserver, etc.
Election day should be the first day of the next chapter in the Revolution...personal action and preparation for civil disobediance.
Ron Paul is the great uniter, the income tax fighter...the military-supported, defender of the border...the political apathy solution and the champion of the Constitution! Doctor Paul is on-call!
It's the oil stupid
This conflict is about oil. The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan(BTC) Pipeline stratigecally snakes through Georgia avoiding Russia on the north and Iran on the south. More than 1 percent of the world's daily crude output flows through it daily. The 1,100-mile pipeline carries oil from Azerbaijan's Caspian Sea fields, estimated to hold the world's third-largest reserves. It is the second longest oil pipeline in the world. It has been proposed that oil from the BTC pipeline may be transported to eastern Asia via the Israeli oil terminals at Ashkelon and Eilat. This brings Israel into the conflict.
Russia President Dmitry Medvedev was formerly chairman at Gazprom. Gazprom is the largest extractor of natural gas in the world. As measured by its market capitalization as of May 2008 (US$348 billion), Gazprom is the world's third largest corporation following this measure. Dmitry Medvedev hopes that the company's market capitalization will quadruple to reach one trillion dollars by 2017, and that this would make it the world's biggest corporation.
Anyway, democracy this, freedom that, blah, blah, blah, it's the oil stupid. I am not calling anyone stupid, I know that is a sensitive word right now, I am just using Bill Clinton's famous words in the context of all current conflicts.
Thank God. Another voice of reason has emerged!
Between gold pumpers, Barr/Baldwin pumpers, and war-mongerers, dailypaul has really spiralled away from supporting Ron Paul.
Ron Paul is the great uniter, the income tax fighter...the military-supported, defender of the border...the political apathy solution and the champion of the Constitution! Doctor Paul is on-call!
I am not saying we are not
I am not saying we are not about freedom, sorry, I was trying to point out that the powers that be always want us to think we are "standing up for democracy". The media always pushes "American Values" as the reason we are involved around the world. But if you dig deep enough you will always find oil at the bottom of it. Not oil for us, oil for them to sell to us.
i pulled a McCain
PS. I "lifted" some of the previous facts and sentences from Wiki and other sources.
Pro-war libertarians?
I was reading a thread recently concerning this conflict, basically one person claiming to be a "true libertarian" was stating that we all need to get behind Georgia on this, that the US needs to act, because a sovereign nation was attacked that was fighting for it's freedom and democracy against Russia, who is a threat to US and to democracy. All who disagreed were called "leftists", "communists", and even "anarchists". There are so many conflicting opinions on this.

Yeah...
the sovereign nation, in this case, is S. Ossetia, not Georgia. Georgia attacked S. Ossetia, not Russia. Not only should we stay the hell out of it... Bushy and his goons are hypocrits telling Russia to stop defending a sovereign nation. Something else is going on.

Since When has
The USA ever given a rip about another countries freedom? We only care if they have something we can pilage or plunder. In this case it's oil.
Can you cite a source?

The US foreign policy should be non-interventionism

"it doesn't exist"???!!! Thou protest too much, me thinks.
What the heck is happening to dailypaul.com?
UN on top
I foresee the US and Russia coming to armed conflict. However, I think it will be a staged event...with real casualities...so that the UN can enter the scene as the ultimate peacekeeper. This will position the UN as the police force of the NWO. I don't think the leaders of the US or Russia will mind losing many thousands of their people in the process. They care more about power and position than they do about individual people.
this is why i was pissed off yesterday
http://www.presstv.ir/detail.aspx?id=66661§ionid=351020602
why does this have to happen now? well, IMO it is just anohter antagonizing move by an administration that wants to look like they are protecting america to americans(like glenn beck) and a F .U. to russia- haha in your face russia kind of thing. wow.
the opposite of war is peace- that is what i am focusing on.

Founding foreign principle: non-intervention
This is a Ron Paul forum...right?
We do believe in a non-intervening foreign policy...right.
Let's become energy-independent and sell that technology to others. It would save many more lives than selling military intervention for oil!
South Ossetia is on Georgian land, thus Russia is the aggressor
Georgia declared it was an independent nation on April 9, 1991. The Soviet Union recognized them as an independent nation in September 1991. Now that the Soviet Union is dead, Russia is saying "nah, that is still our land". Sorry Russia, when you turned over your nation to the Soviets, you lost all your land rights.
So now Georgia is trying to kick unwanted Russian troops off their land! I don't blame them...especially Russia let a creep like Stalin run the show. Under Stalin's rule, many Georgians were executed. So why should Georgians trust Russia anymore? They shouldn't.
BTW: With all the violence going on around the world. Why is this so damned important to the US that it is all over the media? Because it is linked to Israel, oil, and other US interests...including being a distraction from other things.
If we connect the dots, we learn the following:
-Snaking 155 miles across Georgia is a man-made underground river of crude oil. No wonder why Russia wants to forcibly take that land back.
-Here's the big fear: A continued deterioration in the relations between Russia and the U.S. *could* bring Russia and Iran closer. If the US/Israel really blocks Russia from getting Georgian oil Russia will have to depend on the middle east more for oil, but that doesn't mean they'll form an axis of evil. The US has depended on Iranian oil and we aren't buddying up to Iran. So this *theory* is fear mongering horsesqueeze.
-To post-Soviet nations like Georgia, the absence of a US and Israeli response to a loyal ally like Georgia would make the leaderships of Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhtan an even Iraq and Afghanistan wonder how far they could trust the U.S. and Israel.
HOWEVER, IF WE FOLLOW THE FOUNDING PRINCIPLES OF THE USA, WE SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN NOR SHOULD BE INVOLVED IN THIS SORT OF INTERNATIONAL MESS.
So I say let them handle it. This is all about fvcking oil...so let's use become energy-independent and sell that technology to others. It would save many more lives than selling military intervention for oil!
It is all about oil,
you're definitely right about that. And you're also right that DPers are nearly unanimous in believing that the US should have a non-interventionist foreign policy. But we also seek the truth. It was Georgia led by M. Saakashvili on Aug. 7th that attacked S. Ossetia killing 1,500+ civilians and 10 Russian peacekeepers. So how is Russia to blame for this? "S. Ossetia is in Georgia," you may say. Well so was Kosovo a part of Serbia, but in Feb. of this year the US (along w/ several other Western nations) demanded that they be recognized as independent. Where's the consistency?
In a truth, the answers do revolve around oil, but is it Russia with an insatiable lust for oil or perhaps the US? Here are some thoughts to chew on:
1. E. Shevardnaze ousted in 2003 by 'Rose Revolution' which is heavily backed by George Soros (real lover of freedom and liberty, eh?) and the CIA.
2. M. Sakaashvili (widely considered a CIA puppet by many in Eurasia) assumes power in 2003 after Rose Revolution.
3. US special forces and marines train Georgian army.
4. US demands ceasefire while using taxpayer $ to fly 2,000 Georgian troops from Iraq as reinforcements.
Why were we so interested in "spreading democracy" to Georgia and not to say Armenia? Answer: the BTC pipeline. It goes through Georgia and is only export route leaving the Caspian that doesn't pass through Russian control.
I'm not saying the Russian govt. are a bunch of innocents, but this conflict was started by Georgia. Call a spade a spade.
'Would you be free men or slaves?'
Restore the Republic.
'Would you be free men or slaves?'

Seems to me
You really haven't followed this conflict very closely. This just sounds like a rant and not informative.

Unbelievable, I wish someone would ask one of these pricks - "Hey, I know what your people, the region, and Europe are, but what the hay is the New World Order?"
Unbelievable, someone should start a site that has all the politicians mumbling this garbage - it would be a great way to bring in newbies...

Indeed!
McCain says when he looks into Putin's eyes he sees 3 letters K.G.B.
well Putin and us can say when we/he look into McCain's eyes one sees
three letters as well: W.A.R.
McCain would be even worse for international politics than Bush (same with Obama)! His antagonism and emotional instability will lead to recklessness
Obama knows he does not know, so he will be dependent on his adviser, the infamous Zibrinski, which is at least just as worse as McCain. He will also not bring the US troops back to the US from Iraq, but rather move them from Iraq to Afghanistan. He may be a bit more measured than McCain in foreign affairs. Actually it would be the best that Obama wins, as he will inherit the mess in Iraq and probably intervene in other countries as well, so that a conservative-libertarian GOP president can be elected in 2012 on a non-interventionist platform and on basis of bringing the troops home. In 2010 Dr. Paul can help the GOP regain majorities in senate and house, so that Obama will be restricted in what he can do domestically and internationally. Many Obama supporters and voters may become disillusioned at some time from 2009 and join Dr. Paul (and the GOP).

Georgia attacked South
Georgia attacked South Ossetia, Russia moved in to help defend South Ossetia from Georgia.
What they rarely report in the news is that South Ossetia declared independence back in 1992 and consider themselves to be the Republic of South Ossetia - not part of Georgia. No member nation of the United Nations has ever recognized the Republic of South Ossetia to be a separate country from Georgia.
Georgia has been working on NATO membership for some time and aspired to be a member in 2009. If they were already a member that would mean this would be a much bigger mess as NATO countries are obligated to help "defend" each other.
Georgia was part of the Soviet Union. Russia absolutely and most definitely does not want Georgia becoming a member of NATO.
I believe Georgia has started this one.
