SGP - re: CB in CA

Steve, regarding Chuck Baldwin in California...I saw that someone in the comments below mentioned that CB is not on the ballot in CA, and you wanted info on that.

Some weeks back, I myself heard a quick blurb on the radio news that CB was, indeed, removed from the CA Constitution Party ballot, because of a break between the National Constitution Party and the California branch of the party. I've just spent a few minutes doing a search about this, and here's what I've found:

Here's the announcement from the American Independent Party of California (which had been the "branch" of the Constitution Party in CA), announcing their break from the Constitution Party, and new affiliation with the American Independent Party.

In a July 21, 2008, article called Alan Keyes' Wrecking Crew, it says this:

One of the delegations Keyes’ carried in the CP convention was its California state affiliate, the American Independent Party. The AIP announced late last month it switched its “affiliation nationally with the newly-formed America’s Independent Party of Fenton, MI.”

Just over a week ago, the AIP nominated Alan Keyes for president.

Now, that article does go on to say:

The trouble is, according to party members, no national affiliation change has occurred, and the AIP presidential candidate for 2008 will be Chuck Baldwin, not Alan Keyes.

However, there's also this, more recent, article from Ballot Access News: Baldwin Faction of American Independent Party Files Ballot Access Lawsuit

On August 4, the Chuck Baldwin faction of the American Independent Party of California sued the California Secretary of State, over her decision last month to list Alan Keyes as the American Independent Party presidential nominee. The case was filed in Superior Court in Sacramento, and is called James King v Debra Bowen, with Ed Noonan as the Real Party in Interest (that means it is a 3-cornered lawsuit).

So it all seems somewhat confusing, particularly with all the different monikers the "Constitution Party" has in various states, but it appears that, in California, we won't have the opportunity to vote for a Constitution Party candidate, because our state's affiliation is now with another national organization (who may or may not have CB on their ballot).

Hard to get truly clear info on this matter...perhaps others know better than I, and I would heartily welcome being proved wrong, as I definitely WANT Chuck Baldwin on the ballot in California!

LIBERTY ?

So, Liberty is immorality, gambling, drugs and such.

Ruling by prayer

This is simple, If Chuck was

This is simple, If Chuck was running for Govenor that would be a different story.

He is Running for President. Those are all state rights issues

Liberty is allowing people

Liberty is allowing people to participate in those things if they so desire, not trying to legislate issues that deal with morality such as those.

Bigfoot

I just conferred with Bigfoot and he confirmed he is behind the one candidate who will strip us of all our personal liberties in the name of religion...it is official...Baldwin/Bigfoot 2008 (No fags, No gambling, No drugs, No ho's, No fun...the way America was meant to be)!!!!

Who Said

Life was suppose to be fun? On what ground?

This is how we've come to this mess, "everyone playin' around" havin' a jolly of a time.

Oh, you hate me now!

Carry On..

sorry

My comment on "Liberty" was for Bigfoot.

Ruling by prayer

On the drug stuff, there are

On the drug stuff, there are multiple videos where he stated it's a states rights issue so not sure about that my man.

state's rights

He plays the state's rights card as a diversion. He has made it clear where he stands. Anyway...doesn't really matter since he will be on the ballot in about 20 or so states at best. He redefines non-factor.

Who?-bigfoot?

Believe it or not, Chuck Baldwin is as close as you can get to

Ron Paul. Baldwin hosted the Pastor's Forum in Iowa last year and he admits he got quite an education by following Dr. Paul. Chuck Baldwin has been a major supporter and endorser for Ron Paul from the very beginning of the campaign last year. He deferred to Dr. Paul as the expert on medical issues, monetary policy or foreign policy and constitutional law, just as the good Doctor deferred to him on matters of theology. Both are champions of the Constitution. Besides, if by some greater miracle Chuck ever did become president, there is no doubt in my mind who would be one of his first cabinet members and closest advisors, Congressman Ron Paul. That does it for me.

The Constitutional Party does not represent me.

It should be renamed the Christian Constitution Party and clear the way for a real Constitutional-based political party.

Ron Paul "Sign Wave Across the USA" -- November 5th!

The US Constitiution doesn't

The US Constitiution doesn't give the feds any authority over those matters. He supports the constitution. Therefore he will not have authority over those things as president. He's not running for your state governor.

Also, if you check the party's website you will see that Baldwin is on more than 20 ballots and will be on a lot more soon.

yea

Yea...that website says he is on the ballot and California and he is not...good try...

ballot

Baldwin is not on the ballot in California. Do you want to dispute that?

just did

Actually I just did. He is not on the ballot in California based on a decision by the Secty of State of California. That seems simple to comprehend. If you wish to dispute that feel free.

Please explain the process

Please explain the process that is going on in CA right now, you decided to bring this up and we would love to hear you explain it to all of us.

A bunch of

neocon infiltrators got hold of the CA chapter of the CP, and hijacked it over to the neocon Alan Keyes, in an attempt to reduce any foothold that the CP might get.

There is a lawsuit.

Another example of Keye's recurring role as double-agent working for the neocons.

well nah, he said it was a

well nah, he said it was a states rights issue and that's his stance. You might not like him, but don't try to say something is one way when it is not. I'm not fond of Barr but I don't go around saying he has a certain position on a certain matter when that isn't the case. That's called trolling my man.

research

Nah...you just need to do a little more research...but it is cool. He has made his position very clear in the past. But now any position he thinks may be controversial he just throws up the states rights thing.

I thoroughly researched him.

I thoroughly researched him. He feels it is a states rights issue per the Constitution.

You are correct and even Ron
