W-4 Help

0 votes

I just got a new job working for a health care agency and my employer wants me to fill out a w-4. I have never filed any income taxes cause it's "voluntary" and personally I don't like dealing with the devil. Is there anyway I can avoid this/exercise my fifth amendment rights? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Warning

Be very very careful when messing around with tax issues. I have been researching this in depth, and I will be making a rather lengthy post about it soon here. One thing I can say for sure is that there is no step by step manual that will give your surefire results. It is however a very good idea to research as much as you can yourself rather than just grab on to the first tactic you come across that "sounds good". The "System" is very good at catching people making what seem like trivial mistakes and then turning their lives into living hell.

One tactic that has caught my eye are the methods discussed by David Merrill. Google his name and look through some of his posts at suijuris.net and restoretherepublic.com. They're a good place to begin your education.

Peace.

To answer your question

Directly.....You do not want to avoid the tax. Just do what I said below. People think they are being Patriots trying to avoid the taxes....but if you write "EXEMPT" on this form which many Internet sites will tell you to do....It will be a matter of time before the IRS comes after you. I had a friend who got away with it for about 6 years.....and then BAM......they didn't go after him, they just garnished his check from the employer. He eventually lost his teaching job, because the school he taught at did not like the IRS hounding them for his try at flexing his tax rights! Now he owes a ton of $$$$$!

The IRS is like a slow moving freight train......If you get in front of it...you will get plowed over. My friend thought he was the king for 6 years.....then the train hit him.

W-4

There is a line on the W-4 that allows you to have them take out any specified amount. Enter $0!

When figuring out

a W-4........You need to put down as many dependents as you would like. The more defendants you have, the less tax is withheld. Most people will put down 4 or more that I advise....You have to be careful.....because you do not want to end up owing at the end of the year. The basic rate of calculation that I use....is for every $1000 to $1500 a year you would get back in a refund you can increase your dependents by one each time. Then you get your money now.

Now if you are a single non-married person and put down 8 dependents, Hardly any tax is withheld and you will surely owe at the end of the year. Most people are not financially responsible, so that is why tax is withheld. It is all up to you.....it is not illegal.....you just do not want to put down too many dependents and owe at the end of the year. You want to try and break even. Hope this helps.

Ask a tax man for the exact # you should write down. Spend the $25 or $50 for a little consultation...it is worth it!

looks like you'll need another employer

If you're not working for a cash-only, under the table employer, there is no legal way to avoid it.

So I'm pretty much screwed

So I'm pretty much screwed then? Meh, figures. Thanks anyway.
