~New Crop Circle Giant Celtic Cross~

Could this be sign of hope from above in these troubled times?
This huge Celtic cross appeared in a field on Etchilhampton Hill in Wiltshire. The size is over eight tram lines in width and about twice as long in length. Within the cross is spiral imagery which takes us back to ancient times. Very impressive indeed.

Frankly, I'm agnostic about these things. I've looked into them a little and can't explain the ones where the stalks seem to be bent by heat, with the plants livings and continuing to grow sideways. That said, this doesn't belong on the front page, even on a slow news day.

Beautiful
I read that the stalks are bent 51 degrees, not broken, and the crop is not damaged. The "fruit" (grain) is still harvestable. Also that no animals are found in them except two porcupines were found once and their quills were mixed into the crops. They were not alive. Also that some formations have been found in snow or ice and sometimes the formation is on an inner level of ice. Also that these non-crop formations have been found in St. Paul.
It depends on what the crop is.
Green stalks won't break but after maturity they will.

This is a great site showing who the artists and techniques behind making cropcircles. They are works of art, and math, done with exquisite skill and yes, mystery. Unfortunately for those of the alien persuasion I hate to disappoint, but they are made by very clever humans. This does not diminish their beauty or put them in a class of being a hoax, just pure ingenuity. There are some cropcircles that are unexplained, and a mystery to these circle makers however. :)

This is legitimate art.
The artist's talent is showcased in a spectacular way because of the sudden mysterious appearance of this work overnight as well as the farmer gets compensated far more than what may be damaged in the field. The only thing is the artist and farmer need to collaborate to make money.

There is far too much research out there comparing crop circles and their various anomalies with each other. In some cases, there are man-made circles and in others...well...let's say that no man could have affected the plants in the ways they were. Legitimate art is one thing...this crop circle is far from being man made...lots of information is out there...the two pint swillers from the local pub story was government disinfo and fully debunked and withdrawn a long time ago. As to compensation, the farmers have lost much more than they've gained and you will find police notices, protecting the farmer's fields from encroachment on most major crop circle sites.

I know that quite a while back,
2 guys confessed to creating crop circles, but has anyone ever been caught in the act of creating a crop cirle? I don't believe so. I find it rather odd that in the 20 or so years that this has been going on, that no one has been caught red-handed.
