The End of American Exceptionalism

"The American way of life is not negotiable" is a quote from President George H. W. Bush in 1992. Andrew J. Bacevich uses this statement as a backdrop for what he considers to be the American "empire of consumerism", as noted in his new book, "The Limits of American Power: The End of American Exceptionalism".

Mr. Bacevich is a West Point graduate, former US Army Colonel, 23-year veteran who served in Vietnam, and currently an international relations expert at Boston University.

Watch these videos of his interview by Bill Moyers of PBS. Highly recommended.

I couldn't agree with you

I couldn't agree with you more. Just a fantastic video. I think it's something that everyone should watch, whether they are Democrat, Republican, Independent, Libertarian or otherwise. I hope others are willing to help spread this important message.

I was going to post this.

I was going to post this. This is an excellent interview. Mr.Bacevich confirms alot of what Dr. Paul talks about in regards to living within our means. He would be a good person to have speak at our rally next month. I thought this was a very good perspective on American imperialism.
