November 5 in the News - Kudos to Everyone

Congratulations to the 30,000 donors who made today a huge success! And a very special thanks to Trevor Lyman, who put up the site that really got things rolling. Together we raised in excess of $3.5 million, made history, and we're making big news that is worth millions in advertising and exposure to boot! For example:

Wolf Blitzer/CNN: Ron Paul Raises Millions!

ABC News: Ron Paul is Money

New York Times: Guy Fawkes Day Helps Raise Millions for Paul

Associated Press: Paul Raises More Than $3.5 Million

Drudge Report front page: Ron Paul Raises More Than $3.5M in One Day...

Breitbart: Ron Paul Raises More Than $3.5M in One Day

And the list goes on and on: The Washington Post, USA Today, The Atlantic, The SF Chronicle...

No doubt there will be more tomorrow, both in print and on TV. Great work, everyone, and congratulations Dr. Paul!!

It is working!!

MSNBC Video from this morning

Ron was interviewed via phone on MSNBC this morning by Norah O'Donnel to discuss November 5th. This is a good clip!

Right On

Good one, Alan. You said a lot right there. Yup, "news with views." :)

Just keep moving forward....

Just like in a football game, when you get a big play, you need to capitalize on it. People really like the Ron Paul messege when they finally hear it. I have a lot of confidence that the Paul team will leverage the money well to keep pushing the Revolution. Bring in new money, and by all means, keep the college campus events a focus. These young folks are a natural audience!

Media usage of the label, "Libertarian" is a good thing

The label "Libertarian" Is how Ron will push politics in his direction for decades after he is gone. The word Libertarian will be equated with truth justice and peace.

If the Neo-cons and the war machine don't relenquish control of the government, the blowback will surely establish a much more powerful Libertarian Party.

"Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the tempestuous sea of liberty" TJ

There are only 30,000 to 50,000 of us not to mention DIEBOLD

Great job yesterday everyone!!!! WOW!!!!

But we MUST push for paper early absentee paper ballots, make photocopies of your absentee ballot, and make every effort you can to loudly reject a diebold [fraudulant] election next primary and general election. You know very well what will happen with DIEBOLD voting...psst, we do not have a democratic process anymore, and have not had one in the presidential election in quite some time.

So Pizza God is right, however, we must make people more aware of Paul by talking one on one (this is extremely important), along with the signs, the meetups, cold calling on the phone, door to door, local and national radio shows, and make the DIEBOLD machines an issue, we all know that the "elite" have already selected Hillary, and we all know why. We have to go from 30,000-50,000 "Paulite spammers" to millions.

We can do this, but it will require all of us sacrificing our evenings and weekends to do so. But please get your husband/wife, kids, friends, and family involved. We can do it, but we still have a lot of hard work ahead of us. Keep it up, don't get discouraged and God bless!

Diebold is now Premiere Election Solutions

Remember that the bad guys wear a different mask now. Diebold changed their name to Premiere Election Solutions.

local news

wow, my wife just woke me up to say they mentioned the record fund raising day on our local CBS station. Then 5 min later they did a piece on our local Fox station. They only marginalize it by saying he was low in the polls. They didn't mention why we had such a great day.

But then that does not matter, what matters is that the ONLY candidate they have mentioned this morning is RON PAUL and they didn't call him Libertarian, fringe, or a kook. In fact other than saying he was low in the polls, it was a positive note.

not enough

(this is a reply to a comment earlier about how how some of us don't like the media calling Ron Paul a Libertarian)

There is not enough of us to make that big of a difference in the main election.

However if the 70% of us that support Ron Paul all vote in the Republican Primary, we might make a difference.

MSNBC just did a story on Nov 5th

MSNBC just did a story on TV on our Nov 5th donations at about 9am, and Ron Paul was there to comment on them!

CNN

said around 5 this morning RP pulled in 4.2 mil in one day.
I guess the only ones who can bet that record now would be.................................. hummmmmmm, ......................US??? hahahaha Don't ya just love it , makes ya proud again to be an American!

I loved how last night in

I loved how last night in the Situation Room, there was a panel discussing the Pakistan crisis, and Jack Cafferty all of a sudden went on a rant on how he does't want another term of Clintons and Bushes; and spoke about the money bomb, and how we were showing the dislike for this status quo. Very awesome, I emailed him to thank him, you should too.

Collectivism is slavery.

Ron Paul article from casino website

Good read on RP and Nov 5th.

GEAUX RON PAUL 2012.

hope i'm not disappointed

I'm actually becoming afraid that the MSM will once again bury news about Ron-bo. I know CNN (TV) did a piece on it, but on their web site you have to go into the politics section to see a little link regarding the Nov. 5th achievement. I guess the immigration chief not decrying a party costume is bigger news than the biggest fundraising day in the Republican primary so far. Maybe the web reporters are still sleeping and need to wake up and read the AP headlines to see what just happened. I hope I'm not paranoid.

Old but good.

Google News has this as its top "US" story right now!

PEOPLE ARE STILL PUMPING IN MONEY ON THE WEST COAST...

Nobody ever said Nov 5th ends at 12pm eastern standard time.... on the pacific coast its 10:55 and money is still flowing in at $1000 a minute...
if people splurge like we did on eastern time, central time, mountain time, etc... we will hit 5 Million in one day...
I dont think the three extra hours should be discounted - THEY ARENT ON ELECTION DAY... the polls shut down by time zone at 7 pm

Technically..

Bomb count should start Eastern, and end Western. IMO anyway.

Incredible work everyone!

I just want to congratulate everyone on an incredible result. We have shown we're the most passionate, organized and dedicated supporters. This is definitely one for the record books. I think we exemplify Gandhi's quote "Be the change that you want to see in this world."

This kind of momentum could well throw the campaign into overdrive.
On a cautionary note, I urge everyone to remember that we still face the real
possibility of electronic voting fraud. We need to fight as hard on that front as we do on money raising. A manual paper ballot count is the only transparent way we can know whether the election was fair. It's also the most sensible way since there are always "problems" or "issues" with the machines, which is MSM spin for fraud, of course.

Hillary Clinton playing humble about $6.2 million in a day ?!?

The AP article (Ron Paul Raises more than $3.5M) makes the following statement: "Paul now ranks only behind Democrats Hillary Rodham Clinton, who raised nearly $6.2 million on June 30, and Barack Obama."

However, I can't find any mention on Google of this feat when I search "Hillary Clinton" "6.2 million". And there is nothing about this in the news release archive section of Hillary's website. She did a release about raising a million online in a week on Feb 28/2007 but that's about it.

What's the deal? You'd think here people would be all over breaking Kerry's record and all.

Something fishy, or just a lazy AP reporter?

I DONT THINK THE DAY OFFICALLY ENDS TIL 12 PM PACIFIC TIME

Hey folks, as posted elsewhere like in elections, the polls or in this case the money bomb is still open - Nobody offically said when the day would end - I mean you can argue for a 24 hour period, or AS I WOULD ARGUE just like on election days the polls are allowed to stay open til 7pm whatever time zone you are in....
MONEY IS STILL POURING IN probably from the west coast and I think it is possible we will bring in 5 million in one day....
any thoughts, I mean do I have a valid argument or what??

ABC + NY Times = Toilet Scum

They both write either "Libertarian" candidate or representative in their article. They are deliberately trying to marginalize him--US!

I'm so sick of ABC! I might be wrong but wasn't Walt a libertarian? If so, someone should contact Disney and complain about ABC.

How does calling RP a Libertarian...

marginalize him?

RP attracts many from the left (myself included) because he's a Libertarian, not a Republican.

If he didn't espouse Libertarian principles, you wouldn't have such a variety of folks supporting him.

Shhh!
