CNHT Report - Ron Paul Wins NH Straw Poll

Hopkinton State Fairgrounds
Hopkinton, NH
Saturday, July 7, 2007

The Coalition of NH Taxpayers held its 9th Annual Taxpayer Reunion Picnic at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds on Saturday, July 7th, 2007. The event was a great success.

Among almost 30 local organizations present were the NH Carbon Coalition, NH GOP, Second Amendment Sisters, Fix Our Flag, and many presidential campaigns.

Candidates present to make speeches were John Cox, Mike Huckabee, Daniel Gilbert, and Robert Haines.

Duncan Hunter made a voice appearance by phone, and the Sam Brownback, Rudy Giuliani, Tommy Thompson, and Mitt Romney campaigns were represented as well. James Gilmore had planned to attend but was recuperating from recent emergency eye surgery.

Dr. Rand Paul, opthamologist and son of Candidate US Congressman Dr. Ron Paul made an appearance in his father's place.

A straw poll was taken. The day belonged to Dr. Paul who garnered 65% of the vote.

Tomorrow, Rand will end off his trip by meeting the public at the Warren, NH 'Old Home Day' celebration.

I Love It

Paul didn't just win a plurality. He owned that poll with two thirds of the votes!

But hey, the voters were all just internet bots! :-)

Huzza for the Granite State !

.
I lived in New Hampshire for a long time and the people there are very savvy and committed to doing what is best for them. For example, New Hampshire has no sales tax, no state income tax, and yet the state makes millions from it's state-owned and operated liquor stores. It's a smart state, compared to many others.

So when Dr. Paul won the gold at the straw poll it was not a surprise; his views are consistent with the sensibility of New Hampshire.

What makes his victory especially telling is that other candidates either showed up or had reps on site. I think we are witnessing the beginning of a landslide for Dr. Paul, and there is still more than a year to go.

This is all "wicked good!"

Liberty is Popular!

Americans are responding to their heritage of liberty and God-given rights. Limited government, honest money, secure borders, personal responsibility, low taxes, leading by example....breathing the air of freedom... it's great to be an American. Thank you Dr. Rand Paul for addressing the NH crowd on behalf of your father, Congressman, Ron Paul. We are grateful to you and your family for speaking up for our constitutional republic. Ron Paul will be the next President of the United States.

Way to go NH! And congrats to the Ron Paul Family!

Ron's supporters...

It is you, the supporters who make it all possible.

The Ron Paul HQ booth was swamped with interested fans, and they never let Rand go until well after 5 PM when it was over.

Thank you again people, your true blue loyalty makes it all worthwhile!
