I agree 100% , the military is our place of refuge for AMERICA . STRONG dedicated LEADERs need to speak up for that which they also swear to defend, THE U.S. CONSTITUTION. THEY are not bound to a PRESIDENT, or swear alliegence to his every whim. THEIR alliegience is to the country and the rule of law.

A daft analogy? Not as daft, I suspect, as the claim that the US, with military advisers on site in Georgia busily equipping and training its army, tried and failed to dissuade Saakashvili from launching a war. Does America have so little influence over a tiny client state that depends entirely on American goodwill? Or did Saakashvili somehow get the wrong idea from someone somewhere about the nature and scale of likely US support and US responses? Nothing else makes any sense.

Much of the West's media have accepted the script as written, and accepted it with enthusiasm. Some people, it seems, really miss the Cold War. As political eminences in the US tell it, that conflict never ended. Who knew? George Bush senior and the "new world order" never happened. Without missing a beat, we are back to "containing Russia".

that is my understanding. Furthermore I am beginning to think therein lies our greatest strength. I hope our military is what will save this country. They know what is happening, they don't get paid enough to be corrupt, they have the means to make a difference. We have to keep trying through the vote, but the vote is so corrupt that it does not seem to be working any more through the vote. The government and elites own the vote now. They own a lot of the military and the military are taught to do as they are told without questioning. That is all well and good until they start seeing that their votes are not allowed to count, they don't get supplies, their vets are not treated well back at home, they are paid too little and raises are voted down, they are over worked, they are spread out all over the world, they are used as experiments with vaccines, they run into chemicals and are not treated for their conditions, they are used so that the elites are able to steel money from the taxpayers here. Enough becomes enough already.
