What Type of Money/Currency Would You Use?

0 votes

If we were free to choose the medium of exchange, what type(s) of money/currency would you like to see used, and why?

- interest bearing, debt based currency (like our FRNs)?
- gold?
- silver?
- fiduciary currency backed by a commodity (or basket of commodities)?
- scrip (i.e. privately issued I.O.U.s backed by an item/service the issuer owns/provides)
- non-interest bearing currency (perhaps like Lincoln's Greenbacks)?
- other?

Please try to refrain from criticizing the choices of others (thanks).
