At least Palin is respectable
I think McCain has pulled off a nice little coup by selecting Palin. She has vaulted to the forefront of the women's cause, leapfrogging the careful steps Hillary has taken for some time. The general electorate is composed of 55% female, and by selecting Palin, all the efforts that the Democrats have put into energizing the female voters will now be captured by McCain. How's that for political master stroke? Did you notice the bewildered looks on Obama and Biden as they nervously searched her background? I think she is a great choice, so much that I hope their "newfound" energy doesn't dampen the Ron Paul spirits. Even though she's a breath of fresh air in politics, she'll be an underling of the McCain establishment. I'd rather see her on top of the ticket! But, march on Ron Paul! We might as well make some noise, maybe somebody will listen......eventually.

She's
aligned herself with McCain 'nuff said.
I keep seeing her referred
I keep seeing her referred to as "like your next door neighbor". At this point I would take any of my neighbors, who I don't even know, to be VP ahead of any of the polititions that are known to me. Anyone from outside Washington at least starts with one plus in my book.
I'm not going to vote for
I'm not going to vote for McCain but it seems like we got a victory. Look at what MoveOn.org lists as negatives but sounds like positives.
* She was elected Alaska's governor a little over a year and a half ago. Her previous office was mayor of Wasilla, a small town outside Anchorage. She has no foreign policy experience.1
* Palin is strongly anti-choice, opposing abortion even in the case of rape or incest.2
* She supported right-wing extremist Pat Buchanan for president in 2000. 3
* Palin thinks creationism should be taught in public schools.4
* She's doesn't think humans are the cause of climate change.5
* She's solidly in line with John McCain's "Big Oil first" energy policy. She's pushed hard for more oil drilling and says renewables won't be ready for years. She also sued the Bush administration for listing polar bears as an endangered species—she was worried it would interfere with more oil drilling in Alaska.6
* How closely did John McCain vet this choice? He met Sarah Palin once at a meeting. They spoke a second time, last Sunday, when he called her about being vice-president. Then he offered her the position.
Although David Icke said in his Fight Big Brother speech that the New World Order puts people in power of a particular mindset than they don't have to pay them off or frame them to go along with their plan. She's for the Iraq War and although she is for drilling in Alaska the neo-cons have no plans to give us that oil.
respectable? she has fallen
respectable? she has fallen into the hands of evil, and is now a pawn for the NWO. I hope women in America are smart enough to see that! get lost!

We don't really know
We don't really know anything about her. Where does she stand on immigration, for example? Does she support McCain's amnesty or have her own opinions?
It would be wise to reserve your judgment of her until we know a bit more about her, other than the fact she supported Buchanan.
