Do NOT be fooled. One can be positive on Palin but NOT vote for the ticket. McCain will be the dominant figure, and as Dr. Paul suggested, you would also be voting for Lieberman as secretary of state.
Send the GOP a message they will not forget. Vote CP or LP. In November they will know what blowback means.

...on my infatuation is probably ALWAYS in order.
Mrs Palin has been my first pick for VP for the past year or so, with Gov Gary Johnson running a (very) close second.
So the Republicans are halfway there to a decent ticket that I could support. Unfortunately, it is still a McCain ticket.
Nevertheless, her nomination is a HUGE victory for us, showing just how desperate Republicans are to reclaim the libertarian vote.

I have to concur...though Sara Palin has some lower case libertarian leanings(and was a former Buchananite)...I have to concur...She is being used like Dan Quayle was 20 years ago to excite conservatives....and I am troubled by her neo-con foreign policy views...as a former Buchananite,she should know better....

exactly! Im not falling for this trick again...its called "bait and switch". In her acceptence speech she stated that mccain was among the first to warn of the threat of 'russian agression"...WHAT???? Of all the things to bring up... why bring up the russians... and especially missrepresenting them as if they started the war with georgia...?
In my humble understanding of politics and the way things work...if you are pro-war then you are also pro-raising taxes and pro-more government...which makes you a liberal. We all know mccain isa liberal... but if palin is for these things then she is a liberal too

or was it Iran she referred to as a danger, or both? McInsane said Russia wants to return to the imperial kingdom, not USSR, thus when Alaska was part of Russia! The man is clearly insane and utterly provocative or use Russia (and Iran) as a scapegoat to still up (false) fear in order to get elected. Palin is very nice, but she has NO foreign policy experience or insight. Palin is being used as a pawn. The VP is relative important for the election, but in an administration it is the president, the secretary of state and the defense secretary that make the important decisions. Palin would be powerless, even if she could disagree with them. Also, she does not know McCain's anger!
