In this picture, he is leaning over, with his hand on the table, and just barely reaching the other person's hand. We've probably all unintentionally done a similar handshake while attempting to shake someone's hand who was far away from us. I guess we're all in the club now!

Did Paul responded 100% correct. The issue is local govt. and the people themselves should take the responsibility to evacuate. The RNC and rally for the republic should continue and not be "short-changed". McCain is NOT president, so he has no responsibility. He is using it to campaign on a quasi non-partisan basis.

if you live in one of the Earthquake prone areas you have Earthquakes you suffer damage.You either accept it as part of the price you pay for your residence or you move somewhere else.If you live on the coast every year in the Summer it's Hurricane season you either accept it or move on.If you expect the Government to come to the monetary aid everytime there's a damage of property that's Socialism.But when the economy is right and in balance it's not a problem for private citizens to reach in their pockets to aid people in trouble (I understand the concept perfectly).

are you implying that we the people cannot deal with disasters but must rely on the godlike politicians who have superior knowledge and omnipotence? If so, why did all government engineering, planning, and response not work? It was well known by civil engineers years before Katrina that many residents were sitting ducks and it would be impossible to get them out. Because people trusted their officials they weren't prepared; they never imagined the mayor and all government officials would hide the truth.
