I'm Finally in Minneapolis.... 12 hours later... I've already converted someone along the way!
7 hour train ride from Chicago (which I barely made in time.... I was supposed to get to Union Station an hour before. The train was scheduled to leave at 2:15.... for some reason, I calculated an hour to be 1:45.... anyways, by the time I was on the bus to the station it was 2:00.... by the time I was at the ticket counter, it was 2:15.... thankfully the Amtrak people let me on.... I was terrified, literally shaking, that I wouldn't make it in time).
Anyways, 7 hours later, I was in Winona, MN.... where a friend from Minneapolis picked me up..... for some reason, we then detoured west an hour to Rochester, MN and visited my parents.....
Then, another 2 hours later we came into Minneapolis, but we took the wrong road, and went way South (she lives close to downtown, but she's only been living here a couple of weeks). We had to stop for directions.... and finally, we got here at a little after 1 am.
PHEW!
Along the way though I began telling her (my friend) about a lot of the injustices that are going on. She got pretty interested. I've invited her to the rally, and she'll be attending. She was an Obama supporter, but after telling her about Obama's voting record, I think she's leaning our way!

One single question
One single question converted a friend of mine, who was a big Obama supporter, after we were debating for a while.
There were 3 of us, 2 Ron Paul supporters and our Obama supporting friend. Our chat was interesting as the 2 of us were nailing down precisely the positions Ron Paul takes on various issues. Our Obama friend could only talk about "change" and "hope." Actually, "change", "but change", "better change", "more change", "real change" and just about ever other form of "change" out there kept interrupting our progress in finding out how Obama compared in regards to his true positions on the issues.
So I asked my Obama supporting friend the following question:
Told him that I would not say a word while he answered this question. I said "Without using the word "change," describe to me exactly what Obama wants to do as President."
He had no immediate answer and we moved on to other things, grabbing a bite to eat - etc.
A week later I received a phone call. Obama-friend was now Republican-friend. Probably a tough time for him as he has been a Democrat since I've known him. Anyhow, the question did backfire in a way. He switched from Obama to McCain!!!
I think my friend is crazy!
