RNC: "It feels like a funeral, or the scene of a disgraced CEO returning to his company to clean out his desk...
...The sense I get here is embarrassment."

The majority of the audience is, to put it in slight exaggeration, "over 45, white and overweight." I saw C-SPAN airing of Tuesday convention and it was boring and typical of the speakers to gush praise after praise for McCain.
Maybe, just maybe Ron Paul will have a real chance at clinching the nomination in the ballot rounds, as long as McCain is prevented by some persevering delegates opposing him from reaching the required hard count to win the nomination.
There is a recent Washington Times article with McCain's camp trying to persuade Ron Paul to endorse him and release the delegates and alternatives. This sounds desperate for the Neocon WarHawk Party.
I still have faith in Ron Paul. Onwards to revolution!

They try to ignore
Dr. Paul, but are finding out in a close race they need every vote and they need the excitement of the youth, which McCain does not have, and also will not have, even with Palin.
So sad
They brought this on themselves. Or is this the way these things will be held from now on. Where the elite and chosen can attend yet the serfs and workers can only watch on federally controlled TV?
