ABC, the Bible and homosexuality
Before I print the email I just received, I would like to stress that I am not inviting anyone to start a discussion on the rights or wrongs of gay marriage. The whole thing might even be considered as off topic. Let me know and I will delete the thread.
This email is only a 'for your information'! showing the attitude of ABC.

My name is Jim Neugent. I wrote to ABC (on-line) concerning a program
called 'THE PRACTICE.' In last nights episode, one of the lawyer's mothers
decided she is gay and wanted her son to go to court and help her get a
marriage license so she could marry her
'partner.' I sent the following letter to ABC yesterday and really did not
expect a reply, but I did get one.
My original message was:
ABC is obsessed with the subject of homosexuality.. I will no longer watch
any of your attempts to convince the world that homosexuality is OK. 'THE
PRACTICE' can be a fairly good show, but last night's program was so typical
of your agenda. You picked the 'dufus' of the office to be the one who was
against the idea of his mother being gay, and made him look like a whiner
because he had convictions. This type of mentality calls people like me a
'gay basher.' Read the first chapter of Romans (that's in the Bible) and see
what the apostle Paul had to say about it.... He, God and Jesus were all
'gay bashers! '. What if she'd fallen in love with her cocker spaniel? Is
that an alternative life style? (By the way, the Bible speaks against that,
too.)

How about getting your nose out of the Bible (which is ONLY a book of
stories compiled by MANY different writers hundreds of years ago) and read
the declaration of independence (what our nation is built on), where it says
'All Men are Created equal,' and try treating them that way for a change!
Or better yet, try thinking for yourself and stop using an archaic book of
stories as your lame crutch for your existence. You are in the minority in
this country, and your boycott will not affect us at ABC or our freedom of
statement.
Jim Neugent's second response to ABC: Thanks for your reply. From your
harsh reply, evidently I hit a nerve. I will share it with all with whom I
come in contact. Hopefully, the Arkansas Democrat Newspaper will include it
in one of their columns and I will be praying for you.

Thanks for the info - but I must add to that, if you are against gay marriage, then don't marry someone of your own sex...
As far as commanding another who or what to marry, I put forward, respectfully, to mind your own business and 1)Love God with all your heart, and 2)Love your neighbor as yourself...
Personally, I'm going on 25 years with my (opposite sex) wife. I just can't bring myself to muster the "authority" to tell anyone else what to do with their lives...
It's none of my "bidness"...

I wonder who actually wrote that response. Somehow I doubt ABC itself actually approved that, but who knows? Pretty nasty stuff. That should be passed on. In fact, I think I'll copy and paste it and send it to everyone on my email list.

This is just more conditioning for the New Age/New World Order - getting you slowly used to all kinds of perversions so eventually, when they finally do bring the "pure doctrine of Lucifer out in the public view" all sort of perversions will seem normal.

Make a list
of all the ABC sponsors that advertise on the station.
Send them the letter that you got from ABC, and tell them that you are going to circulate this letter to every religious organization in America, and to everyone you know, recommending that they boycott their products until they cancel their advertising contract with ABC.
That should get some results.
Then, do it.
Go viral with it.
ABC has the right to say what they want, and others have the right to not buy products from their advertisers.
The free market at work.
It's amazing how fast things can happen when billions of dollars are at stake. ABC might think it can deal with the viewer boycott, but they don't want an advertising pullout by their sponsors, I assure you.

You either are, or you're not. I often watch a show that features lesbians and, except for that time in college, I'm happily hetero.
Homosexuals exist and, at times, show up on TV. It's called a remote control, use it.

ABC, home of 'family' values
Sad thing is, even though more than 75% of Americans call themselves christian, there's far less who are actually Christian. So, in a way, he's right. We are the minority. We've let ourselves be watered down in order to spread our message, and in the process our message has been co-opted. So you get crap like this and everyone thinks it's ok. Everyone, that is, except for us.
If it's that important, and there are so many of you,
start your own network and make your own shows. Let the market decide.
