When asked for any other nominations, someone yelled out Ron Paul!
Now to the roll call.
5 votes for Ron Paul actually counted.
6 more IGNORED.
1 delegate from Maine IGNORED.
6 delegates from Minnesota IGNORED
Every single state is going full delegations to McCain.... we're being steamrolled.
Pay attention folks! We may lose this battle, but come to 2012, we will be the ones running the show!

Ron had 4 pledged delegates there.And he had 4 here in Washington.That's 8 right there.

The missing votes
At the end Ron Paul did have 11 that were officially counted. I know some states had numbers that didn't match the total. The one's I caught were Maine, Minnesota, Kentucky, and Idaho... there may have been others. I don't know if that was from people who couldn't vote for another candidate because of state rules ... but could abstain... really not sure.
I think though that the number dropped from 11 to 5 at the end because some states "changed" their vote. If I heard correctly at the end Boenher says something to the effect of "after counting in state vote changes... the totals are..." I'll have to review it once it's up and archived on c-span.
Then of course there was the whole making it unanimous thing. I'm damn proud of the lone voice I heard yell "NOOO" in objection.

I know I could just give them the answer, which I'll hint at, but I want them to see it as a lead on a possible story. This could be what we need to keep the revolution in the headlines.
I thought I heard some monkeying around with the mics last night. I don't remember what they were voting on, but it was at the end so it was probably adjournment. I remember her asking for Aye's and then, when she called for nay's, I thought I heard some mic monkeying, but I thought "surely, they wouldn't do something THAT obvious."

Then they make a motion to declare that McCain got a unanimous decision.
That's all I can take of the Republican Party. They really sicken me.

I share your feeling of dissatisfaction with the GOP. I am really surprised they couldn't even count.
After watching the CSPAN feed of the RNC show, I now commit myself to canvassing for a local Repub who is running for Congress. You will see me on the streets and knocking on doors!

He had 15. The speaker cut the Washington delegation's mic., but they had 30 votes, and he clearly said "John McCain 26, Ron P(mic. cuts)"... which would have been 4.
This not even counting the countless delegates silenced by their state representative at time of vote. Damn shame.

It's so funny.
Ron Paul seems to be a dirty word. They refuse to say Ron Paul after he gets any votes. She begins to say his name and then stops or her microphone cuts out.
They did call out Mitt Romney's name when he got his 2 votes though.
Utah
My understanding of Utah rules is that ALL of Utah was committed to Romney or possibly to abstain. Therefore votes for any person other than Romney broke the Utah rules.
