Why should he?
It would probably annoy those of us who can't vote for Baldwin. He won't be on the ballot in many states. Then there are those of us who will be voting for Barr because he represents the Libertarian Party (you know, the party that nominated Ron Paul before it was cool).
Supporting either one of these candidates is far more effective than not voting at all, or voting in states where write-ins don't count. The worst possible action is to do nothing.
I don't see Ron Paul even attempting to endorse anyone in this situation. I expect him to work to make sure we have even more choices, not fewer.

He has what I feel are the closest principles to that of Ron Paul more so than any other candidate out there.

I've read Chuck Baldwin for years so he's not new as to some of you. His integrity is equal to RP. He will be on my state's ticket and will get my vote. Dr. Paul even cautioned us that write in would not be wise. Barr is simply not trustworthy.

Ron Paul can not endorse
Ron Paul can not endorse anyone that is running against Republican or he can and most probably will be knocked down to junior member in congress. We need him on the finance comittee.
He is given us enough info on Chuck Baldwin :

Jesse Benton on Barr : " Jesse Benton, a spokesman for Ron Paul, said that his boss does not plan to recommend supporters to champion Barr. "Bob and Ron are former colleagues and they're friends. But that's where the relationship ends."

He's said he likes both Barr and Baldwin
and hopes they both get a lot of votes. Because they're both friends he doesn't want to seem partial. Also it would hurt him politically to endorse someone outside the Republican Party. It would put his House seat in jeopardy as well as ruin his credibility as a reformer of the Republican Party.

Your right, It isn't up to Ron Paul to tell us who to vote for. SELF RESPONSIBILITY and FREEDOM OF CHOICE. He has told us what he thinks about the candidates, now you all have to research and decide on your own. The same way we all came in to this movement, nobody said you should vote for Ron Paul. We decided that as individuals and look how it all came together. Any vote against the destructicons, is a great way to show the world, we aren't gonna take it anymore, our time is coming, and we will be bringing the CHANGE!
