This is what I'm getting ready to write on the back of my car.
I used to actually believe the way to go about this was to work within the Republican Party. After our County Convention I was dismayed with the cheating & corruption but still held out hope that it wasn't like this everywhere. It got worse after the State Conventions. After witnessing that sickening Convention last night...I CANNOT be a part of this party of criminals. They are corrupt to the core. I don't think we can just stay involved and "take it over". Having to attend their meetings and stay involved with all their BS is too much to take for most of us. Anyway, they lie, cheat and steal...the same thing will happen next time. There are too many entrenched in that. In four years, even if McCain starts WWIII, you'll still have these sick clowns cheering and screaming for him at the Convention as they "confidently and wholeheartedly" give all their votes to McCain. (if he wins this time...Diebold, remember?)
The only way we'll ever get anywhere is through a new 3rd party. If you vote for Obama or McCain so that your vote will supposedly count, you are part of the problem. Stand up and show your disgust with the Republicrats by writing in Ron Paul (not possible in Texas) or voting for a 3rd party this time. It's too late to "win" anything this time so why go back to voting for the "lesser of two evils" crap.
We need to start a 3rd party now! None of the existing ones will cut it. We've already seen how divisive the existing ones are (think Bob Barr) and they've proven to be failures. We need a new "freedom party". With this I think (almost) all Ron Paul patriots would get behind it plus many more. Ventura won as an independent in Minnesota. We can do this if we start now. We need to all unite under one banner and I think we could all work wholeheartedly to support this new party with the same enthusiasm we had for RP. If we try to stay with the Republican Party, we'll divide ourselves and fall apart.
I think if the American people had a REAL third choice, we would win. By the way, for those of you that are talking about Ventura or Gary Johnson or others running as Repubs...they'd have to be crazy after seeing what happened this time. Any real freedom candidate (national, not local) would increase their chances a hundredfold with an independent run. The Republicans just aren't going to allow us to meet our goals, no way, no how, not ever. That party is DEAD! Ok, I'm ready to get blasted....what do you think?

We should all work together to promote 3rd parties, as a concept. Not A 3rd party, but ALL 3rd parties in order to break the monopoly of the Republicrats. So if you know someone who is pro environment, try to convince them to vote Green. This way, Obama loses one vote. If you know a staunch pro-lifer, convince them of McCain's duplicity on this issue and get them to vote Baldwin. That way McCain loses a vote. Every vote for a 3rd party is a vote not cast for the CFR candidates. This would have huge consequences if the popular vote reflected no confidence in either one. The people could all see that there was no mandate for them to carry their sick agenda forward.
Once people are on board with the idea of voting for a candidate and not a party, all good candidates in the future may have a shot.
On top of that we go into development of our own party which will be a viable alternative by 2012

Ron Paul will not vote for McCain. If I had to guess, based on what the Texas ballot is going to look like, I would assume Ron will probably vote for Barr, as Barr is the only third party candidate on the ballot in Texas (I think).
Last week Ron said the goal this election was to get as many people to vote for candidates other than McBama and O'Cain. I don't think Ron cares which third party candidate you vote for, as long as you don't vote for McBama or O'Cain.

Back in the early 1800's there was an actual political party called "THE ANTI-MASONIC PARTY". Great name. It was actually the first "3rd party" in the US.
Yep, back when we were more spiritually aware, people were rightfully concerned about the strange activities of the Masons and did not like the fact that they held so many high positions of power in the gov't, courts etc. even though they only made up a small percentage of the population.
William Morgan wrote a book about the Masons after he quit and they took him up to Niagara and killed him. This caused a huge uproar, started the anti-masonic movement and people were quitting Masonry in droves. Of course, they were eventually infiltrated and neutralized when a Mason became head of the party - which may be happening again now with neo-cons like Barr and Root now heading the Libertarian Party.

NOONE who has taken a bloody oath of allegiance to some other group should be allowed to hold ANY public office what-so-ever!! And this is assuming that I were to agree with trying to funnel all RP support into a single third party, which I still am not convinced is reasonable... But assuming it were for a moment. What is the CP infrastructure like? The Libertarians have proven over many years there ability to organize, fund raise and get people on ballots. Has the CP shown it's ability at this as well?
