2 Questions That Can't Be Ignored

0 votes

Most all of us have encountered the frustration that comes with trying to win our friends and family over to the cause of liberty and limited government and the difficulty in convincing them of the error of neocon ideology. But as Samuel Adams once said, "It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds." So, here is some fresh ammunition to provoke those you come in contact with to think:

1. Why is it ok for the US to enter Pakistan's sovereign territory unauthorized in order to target terrorists, but Russia is condemned for entering Georgia via S. Ossetia to repel Georgian aggression on the S. Ossetian people?

2. Why did the US recognize the independence of Kosovo in Feb. 2008 but condemn Russia for doing the same for S. Ossetia and Abkhazia in Aug. of the same year?

If you can put yourself in the shoes of someone who happens to live somewhere other than the US, you quickly see how this blatant hypocrisy cloaked in a mantle of "spreading democracy" creates extreme disdain and even hatred for our country. Thus, putting us and our families in even greater peril.

Because of American Exceptionalism

The whole "put yourself in their shoes" should work, but it doesn't. The idea that America is right because we are America is too strong. The good guys are the good guys because of who we are, not because of what we do.

Glenn Beck goes on and on about this and how he wishes that we could have the "moral clarity" that made this country great.

I wouldn't say "can't" be ignored

I think they'll be ignored just fine. Unless the media get independent all of a sudden.

You make really good points and we could go through the last 50 years making the same points and just substituting the names.

The international bankers cabal that runs the Federal Reserve finance both sides and instigate wars for profit. WORK TO EXPOSE THE FED SCAM and we get this country back!

Amen to that!

End the Fed!!!!

Your absolutely right about the last half century. My point was that most people tend to forget (or ignore) history. These are events that are happening right now that they have probably seen in the MSM recently.

Russia responded...

The US is re-arming Georgia right now.....
