Tucker Bailed

0 votes

I knew this guy was an elitist turncoat snake. The entire article is snide and sickening.

After a brief sparring match with the nutcakes, Tucker looks ashen. "This is crazy. I've got to get out of here. Let's go get dinner." We slip out the back door of the arena to hail a cab and get some steaks. But Tucker's still supposed to be emceeing the event, and Paul has yet to speak.

"Are you going to tell him you're leaving?" I ask.

"Nahhh," Tucker says. "I really like Ron Paul. I don't want to hurt his feelings."

By writing such a tacky article...

Matt Labash made himself and the Weekly Standard look terribly insufficient.

What a waste of time reading his article - don't do it.

Why was the title of the article not posted? -- Among the Paultards

This is so freakin' transparent!

Look, let's put it together.

An article in the publication The Weekly Standard, which is published by Bill Kristol, and is well-known as the heart of the Neocon publishing network. Neocon Central, in other words.

Then, you have them "zeroing-in" on the one single issue(9/11) that has driven the entire Neocon agenda, and protecting it, via a possibly fictional, or at least slanted story, which attempts to show that the truthers are "crazy", and no self-respecting Neocon would ever give them any credence.

Come on!
Whether Tucker actually left the R4R or not, is NOT the central theme of this article. The theme is to cast anyone who'd question the Neocon agenda, as a "kook".
Plain and simple propaganda.

Another source is required to find out about this, because there is NOTHING that is written in THE WEEKLY STANDARD that can even possibly be considered anywhere near the truth about anything. Except possibly a statement about who they want to bomb next.

Wow, what a hit piece

Weekly standard is William Krystol's paper I believe, so it's no surprise they played up the crazy angle.

As for Tucker leaving, way to go conspiracy people. You scared another one away.

good i hope he did

This 9/11 crap is irrelevant and has to go. Sorry. Ventura is an egomaniac. He can't talk about freedom without talking about himself. No, I wasn't there. But I wanted to throw up a little when ventura brought it up. I don't blame Tucker for feeling surrounded by crazy people. The pet project stuff (911, marijuana legalization, etc.) need to take HUGE back seat so we can talk to the rest of the electorate with sanity.

9/11 crap is irrelevant...lol

if that is how you feel then you might as well kiss your constitutional freedoms goodbye. Because of 9/11 those elitists had their chance to trounce all over the Constitution. Try not to be so brainwashed.

I was there...

Was on the floor. in the press section in front right by Tucker. He was not there after Ventura, gone for the rest of the night... the rumor mill says he left due to the 911 comments from Ventura, but that is not confirmed by Tucker. The jury is still out and I would not assume anything!

a very snotty article

i will reserve judgment on Tucker until i hear from the man himself on the subject.

Get some perspective here....

So Tucker went out to dinner. Big Deal. This was a 9 hour event. It was supposed to start at 12:30 p.m., but got started later. If one can assume that Tucker arrived at Target Center....say around 11:30 a.m. to prepare for the event, can you blame him for going to a nearby restaurant to get a bite to eat. The event was truly awesome -- and ALL that participated did a fantastic job.

errrrrr

Id like to meet this twat in a dark alley. Ill make it memorable.

'Peace is a powerful message.' Ron Paul

Paultard?

Is that insinuating retard? If it is, that is very insensitive....to the mentally retarded. Would any other minority put up with that insinuation? There should be "blowback" for the use of that word.

It is kind of mean.

But I guess it lets you know what a lot of people think about Paul supporters. All I have to say to the author is to give me a candidate with the integrity and character of Ron Paul. I really don't care if other people don't get it and want to insult me. They can't offer anything better.

i was there at the break and took these photos

i was also there after Ron Paul finished and Tucker came on to announce Sara Evans coming on next...

HOW DARE TUCKER GO GET SUPPER!!!-(you guys are ridiculous...)

don't really care...

everyone on this post is blasting at a guy for bailing....but at least he showed up there and did what he signed up to do...half of the people crabbing here didn't even go. what is the difference? maybe he had prior engagements? so what?...it would seem that some would make a mountain out of a mole hill and sit around and bitch about everybody than to get off of their duffs and do anything. i don't care if Tucker IS a schmuck ...it gets REAL OLD listening to a bunch of CRITICS that are of no use to anyone for anything...and it is true, half of the crowd left after Ron Paul was done....so why don't you all BLAST half of us who showed up for leaving before Sara Evans and the others came on. i was up at 3:30 that morning, drove 6 1/2 hours to Minneapolis, went to the rally, and then turned around and drove the 6 and a half hours home. SO WHAT IS EVERYONES POINT ??? it gets really old...

2Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

You did read the part...

...down below where someone (rightfully) states they have pics and that Tucker was there through the end of the event? The quote you posted above does not sound like someone who has left the event for good. It sounds like someone who slipped out for dinner. It could sound like something else to someone else. Like much of the "article" it is left open-ended so that one's own prejudice takes care of the rest.

Did Tucker come back after the "cab ride to get steaks"? Not really mentioned. In fact, it's not really mentioned why on earth Tucker went off to have dinner with Matt Labash. Is he really that charming? Seeing as it's pretty unlikely Tucker gives a rat's ass about that article, I doubt he even knows about it.

Finally, there is one thing in that "article" that does sound important enough to repeat the sentiment of, and I hope people pay attention (but they won't, because it's counter-intuitive, and I realize that). The message is wonderful, but the messengers are not. That is a sentiment the "mainstream" is going to have, folks. It is echoed over and over again, and it is that big block of "sleeping morons" that we have to reach in order to win an election. Instead of jumping on it, being offended, etc., maybe we can think of how best to communicate without coming across as a bunch of nutjobs. The message IS great. We can get that out there to people without trying to cram every personal theory we have (and have attributed to Dr. Paul) down their throats :)

I was there as well

Tucker left... (I'm beginning to hear twilight zone music in my head).

I thought this would be easy enough to verify - but if you look at the C4L site where the videos are listed - you will notice they no longer show the MC after Bill Kaufmann is introduced. Possible damage control? There is no video of Sara Evans (they made everyone turn off their cameras).

I do agree wholeheartedly with your last paragraph. A little diplomacy goes a long way.

The Fife and Drum Stuff has to go

The message is great but it has to be packaged better. That's just the reality of getting enough people to vote for you. If you want to stay at 5% then just continue as usual.

Take for example what Sarah Palin just did for John McCain. That one decision has done more for McCain's chances of winning than anything he could have said. Sarah Palin is a nice package to deliver his message. Many here probably disagree, but that sort of blindness will keep the movement from ever being more than a fringe movement.

The fife and drum stuff might appeal to the believers but to the average observer it comes across as a little nutty. So when you lead off with that kind of stuff, many don't bother to really listen to the great message that follows.

Your final paragraph is SPOT

Your final paragraph is SPOT ON! I agree 100%...

you weren't there...

most people were "normal and real" from my observation. At the RNC and DNC you also have your share of fringe people too. It's politics and you get all kinds of hat wearing, outfit wearing people who have different ways of expressing themselves. I was there and most people there were very mainstream (wearing jeans and tshirts) if that makes you feel warm and fuzzy. Get over it... Our culture wants everyone to conform to their ways of thinking, looking and acting. I think it's time more people thought for themselves and weren't so worried about what everyone else. We all might be better off, but the Zeitgeist wins everytime and you are a part of it with your response.

For all of you who worried about everyone else and the image of someone else on us as a whole, get over it! You are a critic and a part of the problem instead of beign a part of the solution.
