ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA – Congressman Ron Paul will hold a press conference in the Ball Room at the National Press Club on Wednesday, September 10th at 10:00 am. Dr. Paul will announce his intentions for the fall presidential election and will be accompanied by several special guests.
This event comes on the heels of Dr. Paul’s historic three-day Rally for the Republic in Minneapolis, Minnesota that drew over 12,000 supporters.
If Dr. Paul encourages us to vote 3rd party ...

Ron Paul is just going to say "Here are the 3rd party candidates and I support anyone who doesn't vote for the 2 mainstream parties."
I guess it's nice, but it's not going to do anything in the long run.
The delegates let Ron Paul down so now he is continuing his plan to spread the message.

im really trying to stifle my *yawn*
I'll take whatever "unprecedented news" I can get though. And Im as curious as anyone as to what is meant by the word "intention". How does one set a date and time and walk up to the mic and say "I intend to endorse so and so" (future tense) Maybe he could say " I intend to vote for so & so" - but thats hardly a glowing endorsement. (I intend to write in Ron Paul-but may be persuaded to a 3rd party- alot can happen in these particular 2 months).
I think he "intends" to support the 3rd party system by voting his conscience and will remind us that there are curtains at the booths as it is a sacred and private duty that we must each fulfill.

And while he might be good at charming the ladies...
He's not so good at communicating things in a clear fashion. In fact, he's known for the opposite... fubar-ing the simplest of statements.
Here I think he's TRYING to create some "excitement" and is purposefully being ambiguous (and misleading?) in an attempt to achieve that.
Most of the things people have posited would make no logical sense, so I remain underwhelmed. The presence of the array of candidates is a puzzlement, I admit, but only a minor one.

For what it's worth, *I* too would like to see it proved false.
I would LOVE for one of these "major announcements" to actually BE major.
As someone else posted in a thread (this one?)... I think we're all sick and tired of the "carrot dangling" only to have the carrot pulled away and then be given a stick that's been painted orange. (I swear, I can almost hear Nelson Muntz saying "Ha HA!" in the background... and sometimes I think Jesse Benton resembles Nelson a bit too much, you know.)

Intention infers future actions, doesn't it? If the announcement were going to be a simple endorsement of Barr or Baldwin, that wouldn't be referred to as intention, would it?
