I asked him if he was aware of a third-party unification ticket to be announced this Wednesday [10:30am at the National Press Club in DC]. He said he was unaware of a 'third-party unification ticket', but said that he would be at the press conference along with Cynthia McKinney and Bob Barr [and Chuck Baldwin] and that there would be an 'unprecedented announcement.'"
There is indeed great and important news coming on Wednesday, as Ralph indicates. It is not a unification ticket, but it is an historic and direct attack on the Republicrat duopoly. Go, Ron, go!

Although it's mere speculation, it does seem likely to me that
the announcement, given the political variety of the attendees, will embrace the notion of a general attack on the closed two-party (one party, two buffet lines) system.

This will depend...
On if the mainstream media continues to act as it always has towards Ron Paul and 3rd parties, or if they are going to change their tune. I doubt it.
But I would guess there is a possibility of somewhere online, or possibly A C-Span channel
