Bob Barr more news media than previous Libertarian candidates

Since Bob Barr was elected as the Libertarian candidate for President, his campaign provided more positive comments and interviews in the news media, about the Libertarian Party, than all the previous Libertarian candidates.

Continue the Revolution, wave and place President BARR signs.

I believe Barr is getting a lot of coverage for two reasons. Once is because Ron Paul energized our movement and now many have moved over to supporting Bob Barr after RP suspended his campaign.

The other reason is that just as the media worked overtime to keep RP off the air and out of print, by supporting Bob Barr they are now somewhat taking a little limelight away from RP - probably in an effort to divide us.

This would be a very big year for many different potential LP nominees.

...

agreed

MSM gives him a lot of coverage
some of it could be because they want Obama to win and think Barr will take lots of votes away from McCain.

if LP gets above 10% votes nationally it will no longer be a two party system and that will pave the way for 2012.
I believe that if Barr gets into the debates he will be bigger than Ross Perot.
Remember Perot was polling 6% before the debates
same as Barr right now according to Zogby.
But Perot had no internet LOL

"How can we justify to the unemployed and underemployed in the United States the incredible cost of maintaining a global empire?" - Dr. Ron Paul

Yup

Ventura was also polling at about 6% then 10% and steadily rising since the debate, polling at 27% in a deadlock just before election day, but then 10% of people not polled and Independents also voted for him, providing him with success with 37%. Barr will not be in so many debates, but he just need at least one to be relatively competitive. He is better known as a politicians and more experienced than Ventura before the latter run for governor. Barr is also articulate.

Ron Paul mentioned the other day in an interview if third parties can get a combined percentage of 25%, it will send a real message and surprise. But as you say if one can only end in double digits, 10% plus, it could set up the stage for much better performances in congressional races in 2010 and then for 2012. Dr. Paul & Gary Johnson would be very good candidates in 2012 in the presidential race, whether as GOP candidates or that of a third party. Johnson was speculated to be the LP nominee this year. Barr is quite OK and articulate and good for the LP IMHO, but I am not satisfied with the VP pick. If they had someone like Dr. Karen Kwiatkowski as LP VP candidate, it would have been very strong.

I can feel

you read Jesse Ventura's book don't start a revolution without me
I just finished it yesterday
very exciting awesome read
especially the election for governor part.

Barr is very popular in his home state of Georgia and can take Nevada too
just winning a couple of states would be huge as a fundament for 2012.
But after reading Jesse's book I believe Barr can win it all.
Very smart articulate great speaker with lots of experience.
