A Third Party Primary?

This just crossed my mind. Probably has little merit, but here goes:

If Nader and McKinney (sp?) are both going to be at the press conference, we must assume that they, though ideologically opposed to Paul, Baldwin, and Barr, stand to benefit somehow from their involvement.

Some have suggested a third-party debate hosted by the CFL, but the problem with this, as many have observed, is that this alone would hardly jive with the hype. A third-party debate is not at all unprecedented.

But what if there was more to it? What if the winner of the third party debate, decided on somehow by the American public, went on to receive the backing of the other third party candidates, if not out of ideology, then out of a unified effort to break the two-party stranglehold on America?

What if the CFL had a way for viewers to vote on who they like the best? All the participants could agree beforehand to step down once a winner is determined democratically?

It would be, in essence, a sort of third party primary.
