Free State Project

I was just wondering, is there anyone here thinking of joining the FSP?

I do support what the Free State project is trying to do. I'm not so sure it's the best way to go about things, we ideally need people in every state organizing and getting elected. Though I suppose with some energy focus on NH, we can prevent it from going the way of states like Taxachusetts.

Anyway, I actually had no intentions of signing up for it, but it just so happened that I have plans to move to NH. I went to college in MA and have some friends in the are. I decided that's where I'd like to be. I figured since I'm moving there anyway, I might as well add my name to the list on the FSP.

They have pretty good support forums there, and resources to help find jobs, and what you need to know about moving. It's actually helped me out a lot for my move which should happen in the next month or so.

I moved to NH (bought my first house) in 2000 for the same reasons the majority of the FSP chose that great state. So I'm just technically a "friend" of the FSP, since I moved to NH before the state of choice was chosen.

But I did move here for the same reasons the FSP enumerates.

My family has owned land & property up here going back generations, and I remember, as a little kid, being stuck in our NH camp during the "Blizzard of '78" and how much all the "strangers" helped each other. Even the scary-looking, hairy men, LOL! Mmm, moose stew. Good times!

I was part of the FSP, up to and including the voting process.

I left the movement, as many did, after they chose New Hampshire. I wish them well, but do not believe they will succeed in remaking a cushy northeastern state that borders Massachusetts into a freedom haven.

people wanted a western state, they started Free State Montana if your interested in that one. They have a web site I'm not sure what its called exactly.

There is no free state if

There is no free state if you don't have a federal government that adheres to the Constitution. So it's fruitless. Plus, if everybody got up and moved to one state, we'd be seriously diminished in influence and confined to one state. Just what they'd like to happen to us.
